Pretty quick brew time; has 'pause' feature if you want a faster cup. They include a charcoal water filter packet (very pricey for refills). However, you do not need to use it if you do not have issues with your water source.

Makes coffee that depends on the coffee beans, and the grind.
Only problem was with instructions: there is NO indication that a lid must be on the pot, otherwise several cups stay in the filter and does not drip down to the carafe.

Great Coffeemaker. Brews well. Keeps coffee hot. Automatically shuts itself off after about 3 or 4 hours. A feature i like. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it brewed a little faster. But, this may not be a big deal to some people. The clock is also a little hard to read. Other than these very small problems, this Cuisinart Coffeemaker, for [$], is awesome!

I use it every day at home and love everything about it. Only thing is this morning it caught fire after brewing. Bought it in Nov. of 2009 and this is Jan. of 2012 so it did last for 2 years so thats not that bad. Got to have another one.

After reading the reviews I went ahead and ordered this coffeemaker. Most of the cons were about the small opening for pouring in the water and the clock being hard to see. After using the product for almost a month I can't see any problem with pouring the water in. The clock is an issue though. It isn't lit so it is very hard to see. Once you get the time set I guess it doesn't matter since I have it set to start brewing at the same time everyday. Honestly, how hard would it have been to have the clock light up? That is the only reason I didn't give a five star rating.[...]

I bought this to replace a Kitchenaid when I broke the carafe and could not replace it. The only annoyances for this Cuisinart are that the opening to pour the water into for brewing is a bit small, and the clock is rather small.

Still, the unit makes excellent tasting coffee, and above all else that's what I'm looking for with any coffeemaker.
