Cuisinart 12-Cup Black Coffeemaker - DCC-1100BK

Great Coffeemaker. Brews well. Keeps coffee hot. Automatically shuts itself off after about 3 or 4 hours. A feature i like. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it brewed a little faster. But, this may not be a big deal to some people. The clock is also a little hard to read. Other than these very small problems, this Cuisinart Coffeemaker, for [$], is awesome!

I use it every day at home and love everything about it. Only thing is this morning it caught fire after brewing. Bought it in Nov. of 2009 and this is Jan. of 2012 so it did last for 2 years so thats not that bad. Got to have another one.

Great buy and great price. It has a timer that is super easy to use and reliable. I am very happy with this purchase.

Bought this as a gift to replace coffee maker that made lukewarm coffee ... This makes nice hot coffee and is a nice looking unit.

After reading the reviews I went ahead and ordered this coffeemaker. Most of the cons were about the small opening for pouring in the water and the clock being hard to see. After using the product for almost a month I can't see any problem with pouring the water in. The clock is an issue though. It isn't lit so it is very hard to see. Once you get the time set I guess it doesn't matter since I have it set to start brewing at the same time everyday. Honestly, how hard would it have been to have the clock light up? That is the only reason I didn't give a five star rating.[...]

and isn't that the most important thing that a coffeemaker does? I bought this to replace a Kitchenaid when I broke the carafe and could not replace it. The only annoyances for this Cuisinart are that the opening to pour the water into for brewing is a bit small, and the clock is rather small. Still, the unit makes excellent tasting coffee, and above all else that's what I'm looking for with any coffeemaker.

I love this coffemaker because it brews very hot coffee. It is easy to use and looks great on my kitchen counter. I highly recommend buying this product.

Being a daily coffee drinker it is ready when I am with a brewed flavor that would make a monk cry!

A little hard to get all the water out of carafe and into coffeemaker as lid won't fold all the way back. Makes great tasting coffee and stays hot. And the ABT price beat [...] even during a sale! I did lots searching and this was the best overall rated coffeemaker I could fine!

Like permanent filter and ease of pot removal for quick cup while brewing

I love the way this product is so easy to use. The only thing I would add is a light on the front.

Lid on carafe is hard to remove. Water fill could be larger.

Using same amount of water and same amount of ground coffee, this pot makes the hottest, best tasting coffee ever.

I spent a lot of time researching which coffeemaker to buy. I am thrilled that I purchased this one. It makes great coffee and is easy to program, use and clean. I especially like the small footprint it has -- doesn't take up a lot of space on my kitchen counter.

Simple to use. Not always easy to pour in the water without spilling some.

Compared to my prior Cuisinart, this coffee maker is light-weight. I've only had the product a few weeks, but am so far satisfied.

I use this coffee maker at least once and sometimes 3 times a day and it always brews a great cup of coffee. I find it easy to use, easy to clean and I love the programmable feature. Filling the reservoir using the carafe is a little awkward, but this is also true of the other coffee makers that I have owned. Since I always use bottled water it is much easier to use the 1 quart container to pour from; its quick, easy and youll never spill a drop.

Great design, quickly brews, coffee starts HOT and stays HOT w/o that burnt smell. Fine aroma, clean taste. Cool features. Well thought out product.

This coffee maker is easy to use and has some great features. We noticed a huge taste difference between regular paper filters and the gold filter that comes with this model. When the coffee is brewing, the maker is a little loud but nothing you can't deal with. You won't be disappointed.
