Avanti 5 Liter Mini Beer Keg - MBD5L

Pretty good for what it does. I also bought a 12oz paintball gun tank and had it filled with CO2. It should last for quite some time. The ones that come with it, especially if it's your first time tapping, will go fairly fast. Your best bet is to put the keg into your fridge overnight, then into the kegerator. After the keg is in, it does stay pretty cold. The only reason it's not a five star review is because it could use some beefing up on the cooler part.

I bought this from the Glenview store in June with great expectations. Within 2 5 l kegs the orange adaptor tore, so I'll need to order another set soon. On the third keg the Co2 canisters started blowing out all their contents as soon as they were screwed in, so it's clear the seals didn't hold too long. This thing looks good both in the store and on your personal bar. However you wind up spending $10 on Co2 for every $19 5 l keg of beer. PASS ON THIS TURKEY -- AND I ADVISE ABT NOT TO STOCK THIS PRODUCT.

so far i used it twice first the heineken came out to slow so i called avanti and they were very good and sent me a new adaptor. then the co2 adaptor broke and they sent me a new one made of stell not plastic . I have not used them yet

I use it for entertaining,my own use for watching games,and just a great cold beer on any ocassion.Ireally like being able to adjust the tempature of the keg.being able to put my own amount of foam head in my glass.I haven't found anything so far that I would consider a problem with the dispenser.I'm very pleased with it so far.

This is a great product. I gave this dispenser as a Christmas present and it is the best gift anyone can receive, just ask the recipient! To make sure the dispenser works correctly, you must first read then follow all of the directions (the dvd is not helpful and not recommended). Also, it helps if the keg is refrigerated before using the dispenser. We have purchased mini kegs of German beers at local beer/wine shops and so far, every pour has been perfect.

I bought this for my beer loving husband for Christmas. We watched the video (highly recommended)and followed the instructions. Set-up was easy. Be careful attaching the CO2 line to the CO2 assembly. If it isn't attached properly, you will lose CO2. Listen for hissing. Otherwise, we were pouring perfect glasses right away. Don't forget to refrigerate your keg first.

This mini kegerator is great! Perfect for using with just my husband and I, or for when we have others come over. We get the 5l mini kegs from a local import wine and beer store, so we now have a cool way to dispense and drink some of our favorite German beers. You can use this for both the Heiny kegs or any others. We've put this to use quite a bit so far and we love it!

The look and function are great. It is extremely hard to attach and to detach piece to keg. We've had to use pliers and have subsequently lost the co2 and wasted the keg. Also the 5 liter kegs are very hard to find and if you do there are few choices.It is far more expensive than a 12 pack of imported beer at [$]a keg for approximately 12-12oz. glasses.My ordering experience with ABT was wonderful and I would order other products from you.

Works well with NON-PRESSURIZED 5 liter kegs, using the on-board CO2 system. Pressurized Kegs (Heineken) produce solid foam, when pouring, and require the glass to sit for 10 minutes, for the foam to melt. Not satisfactory. No satisfactory Manufacturer fix is available for this situation. The Manufacturer's Service Staff tries to be helpful.

This is great. Easy to use. Let the keg settle after you tap it and it is amazeing. Only issue is the 16gram CO2 is only good for one keg. There is a larger tank but I have yet to find it.

Only one word to describe it. AWESOME!!!! Beer is cold and stays fresh for weeks!! I love this thing!

good product. If it will take you forever to go thru a keg then this is perfect for you. Still looking for 5l keg varieties. I even added a draft tower for the bar top with minor mods. First few seconds can be foamy but it cleans up once you get cold beer in the lines. Just get the thick high quality tubing.

It's a good design in that It fits under your counter top in the kitchen, It works exactly like they said It would. Have not had a problem. You can put any beverage you want in a empty keg, a co2 cartrige and your in business. Be careful with the top that screws to the tube that siffins the beer, It got loose on mine and the cartrige emptied, that's a 2 piece "T" should of been made a single piece so make sure it's tight. Other than that and some plastic pieces like the spout, It's a pretty good product. Oh yeah, If you want a really cold beer make sure you cool the keg a day in your fridge before installing and use frosted mugs you wont reget the wait............ cheers!!

I purchased the mini beer pub and, like many reviews online, it was defective. There is a leak where the hose meets the CO2 regulator. I have never experienced such a disorganized, poorly managed operation as Avanti's customer service. First of all it took 4 phone calls before I wasn't disconnected and got to talk to someone. Then, the person answering the phone had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Instead of transferring me to someone else, she tried to relay the information, with someone else yelling in the background.They told me they would send me parts, but never took my information. I have lost a whole keg of beer, which Avanti won't compensate me for and a CO2 cannister. I called back and got sent to voice mail after waiting 5 minutes and now I am on hold again. I eventually got someone who had a clue and am getting a replacement part. They are overnighting it to compensate for the lost beer and sending me more CO2. I purchased this product because it seemed to be the best value for the type of product with enhanced features, but if I am going to lose money because of defective products, I will pay the extra money in the future and forego some of the features you have so that I don't have to deal with such ineptness.

Does exactly what we wanted it to do! It is a hit! Better than other similar products because you can use ANY 5L keg and will keep the beer fresh for weeks.

great for the backyard or a boat tailgating

This product is great. Many Mini Kegs are available and the unit works well is easy to clean and chills the beer well and keeps it cold. I wasn't impresesed by the Heineken pressurized Mini Kegs, did not work as well as the regular mini kegs that used the CO2.

I think this is a great idea as I have used various types of 5 L kegs in the past. Nice to be able to keep the beer fresh for days. Because of poor illustration and no identification in the manual on what the adaptor looked like I spent a long time trying to connect to a Heinekin keg before I realized that Heinekin has two versions of the spout on the market. Finally got the correct one and enjoyed two kegs with no probem. Keg three however was the killer. Came home to find the hose decoupled from the kegs spout and the entire keg was emptied onto my kitchens hard wood floor. Estimate that caused about $1,000 worth of damage. I'm a bit nervous on tapping another keg. Yes I doubled check all couplings and assured myself that everything was tight. Be careful.

I bought this for my father for Hanukkah. We transformed our den into a full bar and thought this would be a great addition to put on top of it. I was able to find a beer distributor that has a variety of mini kegs (holds about 24 cans of beer) rather than just the typical Heineken and Coors light. We watched a video from the Avanti website which showed my mother and I how "easy" construction was and there was an additional video that came with the Mini Pub. However good those videos were the instructional manual was lacking. There were not clear images that went along with the installation and made it difficult to put together. Eventually we figured it out. My father loves the product once put together. He tells all of his friends about it and will be great for entertaining. We bought a dark beer and my father says it tastes so much fresher than any beer from a bottle/can. I highly recommend this product as a very cool addition to any home.
