Overall, gives a very good quiet clean wash of dishes at good value.

The Power Scour function allows baking dishes to be placed directly into water jets, very convenient. It will not completely clean an enamel hard casserole dish, but will clean most well and make it easy to wipe out the dirtiest baking dish.

Very efficient to have utensil cage in the door- leaves more space for dishes.

Good use of space in dishwasher overall.

A few things need to be improved.

This does not completely dry dishes even with rinse aid. After a long wash/dry cycle (often 2.5 to 3 hours), then let it set another hour without opening the door, there is still some wetness on dishes. No big deal, but it seems this ought not be.

Plates on the bottom rack do not rest secure. With rolling out the rack or a slight tip of the door, plates will roll and crash into other items.

The silverware rack slots are too small and too crowded to insert individual silverware without getting scratched. Also the positioning prevents taller items in the middle that bump or rub the dispenser tub. Great idea in the door, but the rack is too "busy" and tedious to use smoothly.

I used to swear by Whirlpool's appliances. The QuietPartner II made in 2000 that I grew up with (that is still running like new at my parents' house) had flawless results every time. Both wash arms moved at the same time and had plenty of power for scrubbing the filthy dishes we loaded it with. Plus, if you had little bits of food on any of the dishes, they were pulverized and flushed away. Never had any problem with specks of dried food everywhere. AND it only used about 7 gallons of water for a normal wash. This machine? This dishwasher works with about the performance of trying to wash your entire car with a child's water gun because the amount of water actually hitting the dishes is so sparse, along with the fact that the motor is about the size of a soda can. The only way the dishes come out spotless is if you wash them before putting them in. They advertise that you don't have to pre-rinse, but it comes at the cost of taking the bottom of the dishwasher apart to clean out the gunk after every cycle. The noise is also annoying. I like when a dishwasher has a nice hum, and the muffled sound of washing inside, but this one has horrible insulation, and the noise it makes when switching arms gets old. I would love to see Whirlpool go back to its original innovation. These new machines don't really use that much less water because they have to refill so many times and run a lot longer. The best dishwasher money could buy was the QuietPartner from the 1998-2002 era, and it only had to fill twice for perfect results. If they would bring back a machine that had the performance and workmanship of those dishwashers, I'd stand by Whirlpool once again.

I"m very pleased with my new whirlpool dishwasher. It's so much more than my old whirlpool, which I had for 17 years. It has all the features of my old one plus many new ones that are water and energy efficient. What really put me over the top is the silverware basket is still in the door. Whirlpool is the only one that has this feature. One added bonus it's very very quiet.

As a person that has moved many times and has a lot of different dishwashers, this by far is my top favorite. Not only is this dishwasher durable with four children running around the house, this washer is quiet and cleans more evffective than my previous ones. I can honestly say that I don't have any dirty dishes after a normal cycle. Highly recommended.

This product has all the features that we desire in a dishwasher. It is easy to use and cleans very well. The adjustable rack prongs are a good feature. The silverware holder is a problem; we upgraded from our previous Whirlpool dishwasher and had a much better holder in the old model. The lid to the holder does not always readly latch in place. Our silverware does not fit in slots. SWilverware turns sideways in the holder when you close the door.

This dishwasher is so quiet. You can actually hold a whispered conversation while it is running. I looked at a lot of machines before I bought this model and for the money and features it was the best value. It gets the dishes very clean. I love the power scourer feature. The only draw back I have seen is in how you lower the top rack. Even at normal positioning though there is tons of room. I am well pleased with my new Whirpool dishwasher and hope to get many years of service from it.
