I bought this fridge when my old one bit the dust. It does what a fridge is designed to do - it keeps food cold in the main compartment and keeps food frozen in the freezer. A bit of frost develops at the door seal of the freezer and it runs a bit loud at times - at least that's what my friends say. My old fridge sounded the same way and it lasted 17 years so... I'm told this one won't last as long but for now it is working just fine and that makes me happy.

I bought this refrigerator since my last Frigidaire died after 16 years. My new icebox was delivered and had to be replaced two days later as it was defective-would not cool or freeze food. The replacement is fine-so far. I do notice that the new models only have a one year warranty. My previous Frigidaire had a one year/five year warranty (five years on the compressor). I guess they'd rather sell the extended warranties to their customers than provide them. While these units are manufactured so the doors can be made right or left handed, the interior of the unit is not. If the door hinge is mounted on the left, the sole butter compartment will be closest to the handle. My previous Frigidaire had two butter compartments on either side of the door, so it did not matter what side the hinge was on. Likewise, the cold cut drawer can only be on the left hand side. If your door is hinged that way, you need to open the door completely to access this compartment. I think some simple engineering could make this drawer be placed on either side at minimal manufacturing cost. Lastly, there are no ice trays or plastic freezer bins provided by Frigidaire as were supplied with my previous model. I suppose those features are from a by-gone era. On the positive side, the door features extra wide shelves, so you are able to put larger size containers on them, saving space inside the unit itself. For the price, this model is very utilitarian with a minimal of features. Time will tell whether its durability and longevity will be satisfactory

Comments about Frigidaire Right-Hinge Stainless Steel Top Freezer Refrigerator:
After five months, the deli tray drawer broke. When I called Frigidaire, the person was helpful. That being said, I found the part was not necessarily covered. They reluctantly shipped me a new one. That was a good decision on their part as I will be in the market for a dishwasher and range shortly. If part not replaced after only five months I would not even consider another Frigidaire product.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

After having it 3 months a smell comes from the drip pan and every time the fan exhauts it creates a smell. The drip pan is not easily accessible to clean. I had an older model refrigerator over 10 years and never had this issue. If this problem with the smell never happened this would be a 4 or 5 star refrigerator. However, how can a new refrigerator create a smell that is very noticeable after 3 months and you can't clean the drip pan...

The Frigidaire Gallery 18 cu ft. was best in class for us when shopping for a new refrigerator late last year.

I like the stainless steel finish. Can't see any finger prints on it.

Bought this for a rental apartment and it seems to be working well.

It did well to hit the price point, looks fairly good with smudge resistance, and seems efficient (but little to really compare it to). It can be a little loud when the compressor runs, however, and the gaskets around the doors don't stick as well as I would like to see. Not sure how that actually affects performance, though. Also, the stainless can scratch, (as may be with any brand??).
