I've had this for about 3 weeks now, after wanting one for a year, and don't regret the rather indulgent purchase at all. I use it every day. I wanted one that wasn't too large, as I live alone and have limited counter space, and I definitely wanted a timer function, for energy savings. (Why would you keep the water heated all day when you are at work, or when you are sleeping?) I finally decided on this model, based on price and good reviews. I'm quite happy with it. I love having hot water available anytime. It's easy to use, and performs well, with no leaking, great insulation, and intuitive controls. The reboiling is very fast.

If I were to improve the product, I would make the cord harder to dislodge -- if your cats go up on the counter, it's going to get unplugged periodically -- and I would make the timer function more versatile. It can only be set for 6 hours, and will only reheat to 190. So when I shuffle into the kitchen in the morning, I set it to go back up to 208, an by the time the cats have been fed, the water is ready. Also, be careful when dispensing the hot water. It can splash if you're not holding your mug or container directly under the dispenser.

It's not the most beautiful water heater out there, but for functionality and price, I think it's a great choice. And if you have a Panasonic rice cooker (another gadget I love and use all the time), you'll find that they look like squat white twins on your countertop.

A year ago, I bought it from Abt and it is still very good. No problems. I just bought a new one for my mom as a gift from Abt too. Good price and very good quality. I clean it every 3 months per instructions.

This is perfect for hot tea which is what I bought it for.
I have been looking all over the place for something just like this. All I wanted was something that had hot water already boiling hot and ready for me to use whenever I needed it and this is exactly it!! Of course it gets more use on those cold day.

I put milk in my coffee and needed a thermo pot that was hot. This one is great. It does gurgle and make heating up noises all the time but I can live with it.

It boils and keeps water hot all day. Convenient to make coffee, tea, instant noodles, etc.. I use the 6 hour timer to save energy at night since we don't need hot water at night. It is working great so far. Hope it lasts a long time. Should clean every 2 or 3 months.
