Great product, I installed this on my Harley as I wanted ability to control the Ipod through the hand control and the radio. Fits the bill perfectly.

Excellent IPOD integration

If you don't use CD's anymore, this is the way to go. This head unit has the best integration with the Ipod. I wired it up easily and ran the USB cable from the back of the stereo into my center console where I plug my Ipod in and close the hatch for a perfect setup... no dangling wires and the Ipod is out of site. I went through many FM transmittors which were such a pain and never sounded good, especially in NJ where there aren't many free FM stations. If you want to get the most out of your Ipod in your car this Alpine stereo is a must have. I was a bit worried about the other reviews that said the sound quality wasn't as good as Pioneer... don't listen to them. I replaced a my Pioneer head unit with this one and it's just as good if not better sound quality. The people who were complaining about there only being controls for bass and treble must not have read the manual b/c there are other controls in the settings for bass/treble frequency emphasis and bandwidth. Once you set those, your golden. I couldn't be happier, and ABT had the best price.

Very nice interface for the ipod and can play from any USB source. Display is top notch for how big it is. Only dissappointment is that some of the nice features (alphabetical scroll and album art) don't work with the older ipods. Overall, I am very pleased.

I have always been a big fan of Alpine head units and this one only confirms to me again that Alpine is the best. This unit is very nice! The content loads very quickly from the ipod or a usb thumb drive. - I've seen some other units (not alpine) that take up to a few minutes to load the music. This is nearly instantaneous. (However I am only loading about 7gigs from the ipod and 2g from the thumb drive; the load-time difference between the two are unperceivable). The interface is easy to use and makes sense. It took about 20 minutes of playing with all of the dials and buttons to figure out. If you are thinking about purchasing this unit, I would highly recommend it and say that it's doubtful you will be disappointed.
