I was given this brewer for x-mas and it turn gave away my B-90. I love everything about this machine except the constant flashing "open head" on the display panel. I never turn these brewers off. I owned the B-90 for over three years and this model is just great! Love it! Go get one!

I recevied my THIRD Keurig machine today. I have gone through a platnum Keurig and this beautiful Breville model as well. I wanted so much to IGNORE all the reviews on the machines in hopes that it couldn't possibly happen to the machines I ordered. The first machine NEVER brewed a full cup of coffee. Even on the largest setting you only received a half a cup of coffee. I contacted Keurig and asked if I could return the platnum model and PAY the fee to upgrade to the Breville model. They agreed. I paid the $90 difference in price [...] the beautiful crome Breville model. This machine is so beautiful and I trust Breville because I own several really exspensive Breville products. The machine still did not avage a full cup of coffee on the largest setting. I ignored it. Till the machine stopped working all together. The display screen would indicate "Heating" and it would make this rumling noise then would shut off completely. I turned the machine back on and this would happen over and over again. I tried everything from unplugging and resetting to emptying all the water and doing a test brew all over again. And NOTHING. I called Keurig and explained my situation with my SECOND brewer in less than a month. The representative told me she would NOT help me because I owned a Breville model. I exlplained that I ordered it from Keurig after my first one broke. She did NOT care. She said she would not transfer me to a supervisor either and hung up on me! I called back and finally got a supervisor who wanted to troubleshoot the problem. I explained I Had tried everything and that I just wanted a new machine. She transfered me to someone else who agreed to send me a new Breville model. They said to call when the new one arrived so i could pack up the broke one and sent it back. I am PRAYING that this machine will actually work. This is my third Keurig in 2 months time! I love the IDEA of the machine....but for [$] if it doesnt work, it is just that...An Idea! a really exspensive one. I am begining to long for the days when all I had to do was add water and a filter and I had coffee with no complications. I hope this machine works. If it does not, I will NEVER buy a Keurig ever again.

Comments about Breville Stainless Steel Gourmet Single Cup Brewer:
We have had this coffee maker for 8 months and it has worked flawlessly. We average about 8-10 cups of coffee a day. We are VERY happy with it! Also, we have 3 friends who have had theirs (four Breville brewers in total) for more than 2 years without any issues (two are for home use, and two are for office use).
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This product never worked properly. Quit working after just one year. Very expensive for only a year's worth or use.

I was so excited to get this for mothers day!! However, after the first week it stopped brewing. It goes through the whole cycle. Then won't dispense the water. I turn on and off and SOMETIMES it'll work. Other times I just give up and don't use it for a week and then pray it'll brew. Contacted Keurig about this and waiting to see if they'll replace it. This is quite pricy to just look pretty on my counter and not work. When it works, it's worth every penny! I have to say I wouldn't recommend just bcuz it's a hit or miss functioning product.

I used this coffee maker once (maybe twice a day) with the included reusable k-cup. I loved the economic and environmental bonus! However, within one year, I was getting only a quarter cup of coffee and the descale alert went on. I followed directions in the manual to clean with white vinegar. The process required at least a dozen runs of the machine to wash out the vinegar (very time consuming). The machine worked great for about a week, and then the same problem occurred. I dutifully followed the descale directions again and again the problem arose within a week. My husband bought me a Keurig for Christmas and I have not had the same descaling problems. Bottom line, a great product, but only reliable for about 18 months.

We started having problems with this machine shortly after we bought it. I chalked it up to hard water and did the recommended cleaning, but now almost two years later cleaning doesn't help. I'll hit the brew button and it will draw water into the machine like it is going to brew but nothing ever comes out. This continues to occur no matter how many times I try, so usually I will just unplug it and try again the next day. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When I clean it after it does this the very next day it will not work again. I really wish we had bought the Keurig machine that our friends had. They've had it for three years and it still works good with no issues.

THIS WOULD BE A WONDERFUL COFFEEE MAKER IF IT WOULD LAST LONGER. THIS IS OUR 2ND one. the first we had 10 monthes and it stopped brewing.Breville was VERY slow to replace it . Now almost a year later this one is doing the same thing. Cleaning doesn't help, not sure what the problem is. But it apparently is a flaw in the machine since both did the same thing!!

Started brewing the wrong sizes after about a month and quit working completely after three months. Total waste of money.

I cannot believe I spent so much on a nice looking, but a poorly build machine. How can Keurig promote a machine like this??? I wanted to get this fixed, but there are no replacements parts anywhere for this machine. I contacted Breville multiple times, and they've avoided contacting me. If anyone is considering buying this machine, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Looks great but does not last.
I am absolutely head over heals for this brewer,if I would have known,how great this machine is, I would have opted for it the first time around, Breville now has a life long customer.
