My wife and I, both in our eighth decade, have been purchasing and using television sets since they first appeared in the 1940's. This set will probably be our last purchase. After six months of viewing and investigating both Plasma, LCD, and DLP TVs, we chose this Panasonic plasma model expecting a high-quality picture and above-average flat- panel sound. When delivered, set up and running, we were not disappointed!!!

The unit is top-notch. I cannot believe there would be any individual who could find fault with this TV. The TV has numerous adjustments to the picture and sound that should be able to meet anyone's preferences. We were happpy with the manufacturer's settings, but we did add a custom picture setting that can be flipped with other pre-set manufacturer settings, and we turned off the 3D surround sound, which we will reserve for the occassional movie that is enhanced by using it. Most viewing doesn't need surround and surround isn't well received by a hearing-aid.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was well-executed, efficient, and on time. The product arrived in pristine condition. Standard delivery was ordered, which meant the TV was to be set at my front door or in my garage. However, the driver offered with my help to set it in the first-floor room. I was pleased.

Best picture I have ever seen, either in HD cable or Blu-Ray DVDs. It also makes regular DVDs and regular (non-HD) stations look better. I could not be happier.
