AWESOME, IF you follow my instructions

Key Instructions:
1. FREEZE the freezing bowl overnight.
Cuisinart tells this in the instructions, but they also say you can freeze just until the contents don't shake and make noise. DO IT OVERNIGHT, Zero degrees F or less (-5 is even better)
2. CHILL your mix in refrigerator for 2 hours before starting to freeze.
This is not mentioned in the instructions, and it is critical because the sugar and flavorings are usually at room temp. After mixing milk, cream and room temp ingredients, your mix could be 38 degrees F, and the Cuisinart will waste cold and time just getting down to 32.
3. Extra Speed Tip:
Mix milk, flavoring and sugar and put it in the refrigerator for one hour.
If you are adding heavy whipping cream, you can put it in the freezer for the same hour (it won't freeze, but it gets colder)
Then add the cream to the chilled mix, put it in the frozen bowl and crank it on.
This is how to get pretty solid soft serve in 30 minutes.

This product is awesome.. make your own ice cream, add ingredients you already have. Make healthy and sweet ice cream for your family. My kids love helping me make the ice cream. Fast and easy.. ready in 20mins.. I make the batch early in the morning, and by the time kids get home from school they have a delicious and healthy treat. This is a must buy... PS. We are saving so much money making our own.

The machine is easy to use, quiet and easy to clean up. Always chill the mix and you will have excellent ice cream quickly. This is my fourth Cuisinart ice cream maker, all of the rest were the basic model. I selected this one for its capacity and appearance. I make at least one batch of ice cream weekly. I am an executive chef in a four diamond restaurant and this is for my personal use at home.

I bought this for my wife. She really likes it. It's a well made product that's easy to use and delivers what it says it will.

Now all she has to do is "perfect the vanilla ice cream" ...then start with the flavored varieties.

PS. Aglamesis French Vanilla is the goal :-)

What a difference between this and the old fashioned salt and crank machines.
Only negative is doing low fat ice-cream. It crystallizes when you freeze it
