Finally my mom's Sunbeam Mix Master died (from 1956). Wish I killed it years ago. Always wanted one of these but never thought I would use it enf to warrant the expense. I am 67 years old, harder to make cookies and forget kneading bread. Friend of mine has one of these over 10 years and can whip stuff out beautifully. I expect me to do the same soon. So far only 2 batches of cookies and ice cream. Dessert first you know. I must leave it out as too heavy to keep putting away. Did buy expensive cover to fit and love that also as it has pocket on side for the beaters, how cool. Everything right there. I put mine on a tiny island cabinet that I can roll to counter, use and return to wall area.

First batch cookies (I used the attachment to keep flour dust down) I was mesmerized by the way it worked and irritated I could not figure out how to get my finger into the dough to taste the dough while it was running. Had to wait til it was all done, dradt!

First batch I thought was not well mixed from the sides and thought of changing the setting. I am not used to NOT pushing food down the sides. Good thing I did not as 2nd batch worked just fine. I think I was too interested in trying to taste.

Just starting to learn how to use this - so far so good but it is different than the small hand mixers I LOVE the look of it - the yellow is great and looks nice on the counter!

The mixer is wonderful and Kitchen Aid makes great products! But what impressed me the most was the Abt customer service. When the mixer arrived damaged, their customer service went above and beyond. The return was easier than any other company I have purchased products from and the promptness to send a new mixer was amazing. Abt has a customer for life!
