Best detector ever (with one drawback)

I wont start a comparison against the Valentine 1, as that's like comparing a Mac to a PC and if you like Mac's then there's no changing your religion in a review.Comparing it to other Escorts which you've likely owned if you're dropping [$]on this one, I will say this: it's an 8500 X50 with a GPS chip in it's brain.Most noticable differences over the 8500:* voice alerts* gps locations that can be marked/muted out - when you approach a speed trap you marked it alerts you then displays how many feet away you are from it on the display* option to flash your speed on the display when a signal is detected* blue LED is so worth the $50 when your car is already mostly blue LED's. I know it probably costs them an extra $5, but hey, its cool.* with a 2 second delay, the speed displayed is unbelievably accurate. It's literally within 1 mph accurate and honestly I've never seen it not match my speedometer exactly.ONLY DRAWBACK FOR PREVIOUS OWNERS:They changed the audio alert sounds! If you've memorized what X, K, and KA sound like, it doesnt help you much here. I have no idea why they did that and hate that they did, but they did. If you already have an 8500, it's not worth the upgrade unless you do a lot of road trips or whatnot. My wife and I do travel the country and world so the wide range of detection bands and marking is easily worth it for us. Do hate that change though. As a result of that, my wife and I leave the voice alert on. It beeps the sound twice, then audibly says "KA band" or whatever, similar to other detectors in that calm female voice.
