I bought 2 Sony KDL32XBR6 TVs after doing months of research online & in local chain stores. I decided on this model because of the 1080p capabilitty in the 32" size which was as large as I could go due to space constraints in the two rooms where I'm using the TVs. The quality of this Sony product is excellent, fantastac HD quality, great sound, & easy controls/remote. I'm glad I finally took the plunge with this product!

Placed Tv in the bedroom. Like the Design, resolution and picture. found the remote odd because the channel and volume buttons are on the bottom of a long remote.

The set has many picture adjustment controls but some require professional equipment to optimize the settings. I have the equipment and the picture benefitted quite a bit with my tweaking. Since it's a 1080p TV it looks great with Blu ray DVD movies.

I have owed/ still own other Sony tv's and I still like them. I waited for this one to come out because I wanted a 32in. tv with 120hz updating. Side by side tv's show that the 120hz does help with screen jitter even on 32in. tv's. The set worked nice out of the box. Being a little nerdy, I used a set-up dvd (Avia) to further set up the tv. Most of the factory settings were close. We only use off air antenna. The ATSC and NTSC tuners work fine. The optical audio out worked fine. I find that if both the tv audio and the surround set(optical out) are used at the same time there is a slight echo. It appears to be a timing issue between the surround decoder and the tv decoder. For dvds, the picture is unbeatable For off air tv, (all modes 480p,720p,1080i) I still think that my HD Crt Sony has a better picture. I think this is due to the CRT phosphorous softening the picture just enough to cover the flaws in the off air transmission. This LCD tv is so good, it shows the flaws, thus making the picture look computerized. Maybe this 48 year old is still used to CRT tvs!
