The side panels are pretty difficult to screw in, but once you get them in place, the rest is cake. I think I have a funky kind of window, so it took a little extra creativity on my part. Nothing major. Overall, the machine is very quiet and I hope it doesn't end up leaking like the last one I had from Haier.

[...] installation was fairly straightforward, and it does the job. My dorm room is around 180 square feet and when i put the temperature at the coldest it cools the entire room when i'm away, which is impressive because the room is shaped strangely and is pretty large. My only complaint is that it doesn't have enough flexibility in terms of directing air flow. You can only turn it a certain amount left and right, and not at all up and down. That's probably the only downside, otherwise great product works well and is fine if exposed to rain outside, etc.

This is great for a small room, I have it in my bedroom and it is quiet enough for sleeping. Really needs a small room as the grunt it has is not great, my bedroom is a bit too big for it so it struggles to lower temperature to cold, but does enough to allow me to sleep without overheating. Rating is poor on energy efficiency. For the money though, it is great!

It installs really only in wooden windows (mine are metal) - so install wasn't as smooth as possible. Otherwise it's a terrific product! I'd definitely recommend!

It is a great little ac. It works very good for its size. If it had a thermostat and automatic on/off it would be perfect.

I really like this AC. It is very affordable, small, easy to install... It does a good job at cooling down a medium size room. It is not very powerful, but I knew that when I bought it. It is also quiet. Overall a very good buy.

This was a pleasant surprise for under 100.00 Its not a power house but it cools the bedroom perfect. On a humid day i suggest you turn it on a couple hours before going to sleep. It works a little harder but still beats the elements outdoors. It is not extremly quiet but it didnt prevent me from sleeping. Some may not like it.

Purchased to replace a window fan in a kitchen that didn't keep the room cool. Works great for my purposes. Even keeps the room cool when the oven is on. I had no trouble installing the unit at all.

I was miserable in my 3rd story room before I bought an AC unit. This one's pretty sleek and easy to use. It revolutionzed my life, and it really does cool. You just have to manually control the temperature b/c it doesn't do it automatically. But there are still different settings you can use. It isn't silent for sure but I kind of like a constant hum. Best use I think is for college kids looking for an affordable unit that works!
