Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 4 Black 50" Plasma HDTV, Model 1895298
Go to the movies wearing your slippers
Get the family together and go to the movies in your pyjamas. Why wait in line
for a cinematic experience when you can enjoy it in your own living room?
In BeoVision 4, Bang & Olufsen's advanced picture engines are combined with
the best Full HD plasma screens in 50 or 65 inch sizes to achieve a viewing
experience that even satisfies the makers of the movies we enjoy watching. The
external BeoSystem 3 module provides the intelligent technology behind the perfect
picture and integrates all your high definition entertainment sources with complete
digital surround sound and total BeoLink compatibility.
Anti-wrinkle cream for your TV
When it comes to televisions that offer a truly cinematic experience, nothing
beats a big plasma screen. And no plasma screen beats BeoVision 4 in terms of
long term picture quality. All plasmas degrade with time, but only BeoVision
4 has the remedy – in the form of Automatic Colour Management, a unique
system that compensates for the effects of aging. A tiny built-in camera is
your in-house technician, checking your screen after every 100 hours of use
and adjusting the colour balance accordingly.
Already a superior screen today, a few years down the line BeoVision 4 will
be the only one still hanging.
A fine frame for at beautiful picture
Appropriately, the attention to detail in the electronics of BeoVision 4 is
matched by its physical frame. The smooth finish of the brushed aluminium and
the uncannily precise, diamond-cut joints speak volumes about a lasting quality
product. For a screen of this size, BeoVision 4 is remarkably slim on the wall.
The slender profile is accentuated by the triangular BeoLab 10 centre speaker,
which is designed to hang below the screen and form a visual whole. The daring
yet elegant Bang & Olufsen lines are instantly recognisable from any angle.
Adapting to any environment
BeoVision 4 will detect whether your walls are white or wallpapered, not because
it has a penchant for interior design, but to give you the best possible picture,
based on the actual conditions. VisionClear is a term covering selected picture
quality technologies which ensures the best picture quality at any given time.
The Automatic Picture Control sensor technology continuously measures the ambient
light in the room and adjusts the light output from the screen accordingly.
This ensures you get the best viewing experience day or night.
Flexibility is also a keyword when it comes to sound. BeoSystem 3 handles all
your digital encoding systems regardless of their cryptic abbreviations as well
as any speaker setup from stereo to ten speakers and two subwoofers. It even
offers a unique way to drive two sound setups.
Adjusting to any source
The screen panels used for BeoVision 4 meet the criteria for Full HD to handle
all present and future High Definition sources. But in practice, today’s
screens have to handle a wide variety of sources: cable, satellite, and terrestrial
TV, DVD, content streamed over broadband, game consoles, computer files, home
video recorders, digital cameras... Each kind of signal represents a different
challenge, in terms of image and sound technology. With high resolution screens,
these signals must be converted and optimised to ensure that you will get the
best from your entertainment setup. For instance, BeoVision 4 picture engines
have a “film mode”. The image is analysed, and when the engine detects
that the source is film, it optimises the image for that medium, the goal being
to recreate what you would see in a good cinema. So why compromise when BeoVision
4 can handle any challenge you throw at it?
