Love my new LG dishwasher.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I really love this LG dishwasher which I got in exchange for a new Bosch which had a miserable loading pattern and required running every other day, which I bought without seeing in lieu of one that could not be repaired. ABT could not have been more cooperative in exchanging it for the LG, which arranges so that my family of 3 can go two or more days before running, because it arranges so well.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

We were happy with our old dishwasher (4yr. old), but went stainless steel and bought this model. The first load I was unhappy with because everything was wet when done. I checked out the manual and it said to add rinse agent. I did and the dishes dryed great! We tested this dishwasher by not rinsing off the dishes and let it sit for 3 days. Honestly, every dish came out clean, although we did rinse off dishes with milk or starchy substances. I'm happy with the dishwasher. Also, consider the detergent you are using and click on the sanitary button on your dishwasher to heat the water to a higher temperature. Consumer Reports magazine rates detergents often. I'm currently using Finish powerball tabs.

worst dishwasher ever!

BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was our first dishwasher, and we have had nothing but problems. We have had technicians to our house 7 times to repair the same error message we have received. Once the dishwasher was installed there was a loud grinding noise, but never having a dishwasher we did not know that this was uncommon. We called for service and have not had a functioning dishwasher in 2 months!! LG has horrible customer service, and recommends less than stellar repair companies. Will not buy any future LG appliances and will not recommend to anyone.

Cons:

Doesn't Clean Thoroughly, Broke within 2 months, Long Cycle, Doesn't Dry Well, Unreliable, Loud

Very happy with this dishwasher

I love this dishwasher. It is extemely quiet. I've owned it for 4 months and only have had one item that needed rewashing. You have to learn to adjust loading your dishes no matter what brand of dishwasher you have, they're all different, this one is the same, learn how to load your stuff in it.

We purchased this item 3 months ago - it takes 2 hours for all cycles. No mini cycle. The first one broke in 3 weeks. ABT replaced it with no problems - now the 2nd one broke! This is the worst dishwasher ever. It doesn't even completely dry the items either. Purchase something else.

Extremely Quiet!

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Love the look, sound, and the controls being hidden. The only con I have right now is and maybe it's the detergent I am using but the dishes are not sparkling. I even almost wash before I load up the dishwasher and when I unloaded I noticed they didn't look much cleaner than when I put them in. I will try liquid deterent and see - otherwise happy to have stainless and matching appliances.

Nice Dishwasher, strange internal design

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

My husband said it best when he remarked that whoever designed the interior of this dishwasher has clearly never loaded a dishwasher before. HA! The good: the bottom rack is much lower than our previous model so it is easy to wash taller items. It is also incredibly quiet - the first time we ran it, we weren't sure it was actually on. Great for a small condo. Cleans well, too. The awkward: bowls are hard to load in here efficiently. Also, the top rack has a section for wine glasses on the right side that doesn't quite work. The rack is angled strangely so any glasses put on that side fall over unless the whole right side is loaded and there's nowhere to fall... strange design. Also, the flatware basket is divided into three sections, one of which has a large handle that gets in the way of loading and unloading from that basket. That same basket also has a weird grate over the top that seems like it was intended to help organize knives or whatever, but is really a strange nuisance. Overall, a fine dishwasher, but there have to be better interior designs out there.
