AT FIRST, THIS SONY DEVICE SEEMS VERY IDEAL FOR HOME USE BUT WITHOUT OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE THIS DEVICE IS REDUCED TO A COMMON TAPE PLAYER. NEVER AGAIN WILL I OVERLOOK THE WORDS BUILT-IN TUNER.

I have not tried it enough to make detailed comments. I need more time. My intention is to convert all home movies/ Videos in to DVD's, which I presume have longer shelf life.

cannot copy latest movies to watch later as you can with VHS tapes. Movies are copyright protected - so it's hit or miss with what the DVD might record.
