Portable and affordable, n�vi 205 is your personal travel assistant for life on the go. This navigator leads the way with turn-by-turn directions and optional MSN� Direct services to get you there on time and keep you informed. Navigate With Ease
n�vi 205 comes preloaded with City Navigator� NT map data for the contiguous U.S.. Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and n�vi takes you there with turn-by-turn voice directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and smooth map updates as you navigate. Its digital elevation maps show you shaded contours at higher zoom levels, giving you a big picture of the surrounding terrain. In addition, n�vi 205 accepts custom points of interest (POIs), such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. With HotFix� satellite prediction, n�vi calculates your position faster to get you there quicker.

Like the rest of the n�vi 2x5-series, n�vi 205 sports a sleek, slim design and fits comfortably in your pocket or purse. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot. With its "Where Am I?" emergency locator, you always know your location. Simply tap the screen to get your exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and fuel stations.
Go Beyond Navigation
Navigation is just the beginning. n�vi 205 includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. With photo navigation, you can download Google� Panoramio� pictures via our Garmin Connect Photos website and navigate to them. The 205 is compatible with optional enhanced MSN� Direct content and our free Garmin Garage where you can download animated vehicles that show your location on the map. It also comes with Garmin Lock�, an anti-theft feature. Enhance your travel experience with optional plug-in microSD cards such as Garmin Travel Guides for detailed data on attractions.

great so far, although my previous magellean lasted less than 2 yrs so I'm hopeing this garmin lasts longer. Could use miles to destination count down as part of the screen after you enter a route. Nice to know how many more miles total to go. Also could use pick/choice of surface roads or express ways.

I don't travel more than a few miles from home usually so I always need help with directions and cannot read a map. This was fairly easy to use and accurate. The only quibble is that I found it a bit difficult to enter an address in a format it would recognize but that may have just been my problem. I am sure it will get easier with more use.

A nice update to the 200. I really like the Where Am I feature and the speed limits that are on this new unit. Would like to see Points of Interest updated; missed several restaurants in a large city.
