We picked this refrigerator for price, space restrictions and the bottom freezer. This was the only appliance we could find that best fit our restricted space that had a bottom freezer. Good points - Fits our space, curved front is attractive, wide interior space is good. Bad points - The interior plastic components are squeeky, flimsy and operate poorly - just like our previous refrigerator (zero improvement). The sliding shelfs in the freezer have no rolling slides so its difficult to get access to anything in the freezer. We have the same complaint with the sliding drawer comartments in the refrigerator section. We wanted a model with the bottom freezer as a drawer and with all drawers and shelfs with sliding hardware. I know they have these features in the larger models. They was not available for this model. How hard would it have been to provide these features in smaller models-- really?

circuit board troubles

Comments about GE Bisque Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator:
My refrigerator will be 5 years old next month. I have had the circuit board replaced twice and the evac motor once. Seems to me that I shouldn't have all these failures with the frig not that old.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Had high hopes.....but
This refrigerator is attractive to look at but it's functionality is bad. The drawers cracked and do not open correctly now. That is really the only complaint on the refrigerator part. The freezer is awful! You have to break your back to get ice from the container and when you pull the freezer basket out (which is not easy) all the ice falls behind the basket. If it was not for the freezer I would recommend, but it just makes the whole package fail. Believe me, the freezer will frustrate and aggravate you on a daily basis so find something else.
Love a bottom freezer!

So great to have the refrigerator at eye level! Can see and reach everything without stooping or kneeling to reach the back of the bottom shelf. Finally found a bottom freezer that would fit in my refrigerator space. Have much more space in this refrigerator than appears when empty. Can't figure why it wouldn't continue to be manufactured!

We had a GE fridge- freezer on the bottom, before and liked it o we bought a new one for our new home. the old one had a shelf that broke where the screws are on the side. We hope the new one won't have the same problem. The new one se ems to have trouble with the lower freezer rack pulling out all the way- the door has to be completely open, other than that we are happy with it

I like the refrigerator on the top. It makes so much more sense, you use the refrigerator so much more than the freezer. You can see what you have and use it before it goes out of date. It has plenty of room on the door and the drawers are clear so you can see what is in them. I JUST LOVE IT !!!!
Really like having the freezer on the bottom!

I know it sounds silly, but I really enjoy not having to bend down to get to everything. I rarely use the freezer, so why not put it on the bottom. I can barely hear it run. My electric bill went down.

We replaced our "freezer on top" refrigerator with one because it was the onlyr/bottom freezer that we could find in "bisque" to match our stove. It is nice to have the refrigerator on top - but the freezer on the b ottom does NOT pull out like a drawer - it opens just like the top and all it has is a big basket drawer that is really hard to pull out and put back in place... maybe it needs a little silicone spray, not sure. I like beign able to pack the door on top too. It's OK for the price.
The noisiest refrigerator I have ever owned.

I like the style, the capacity and the bottom freezer, but the noises it makes are unreal. My brother has the same refrigerator and he warned me. I thought maybe it was just his refrigerator and how bad could it be? I should have listened to him!

HARD TO FIND THIS COLOR THESE DAYS. LOVE THIS FRIG! FREEZER ON THE BOTTOM IS PERFECT, BUT A LITTLE SMALL. FRIG NEEDS LEVELING AND DIFFICULT TO LOCATE LEVELERS. SOMETIMES ROLLS A LITTLE WHEN OPENING, BUT ROLLERS MAKE IT EXTRA EASY TO MOVE. EXCELLENT MACHINE FOR A GREAT PRICE. BOUGHT IT ON TUES. AND DELIVERED ON FRI.
DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

This is the worst refrigerator I have ever brought. It freezes everything in the top part of the refrigerator. I can't keep fresh vegetables or fruit. Everything freezes. I have had this refrigerator serviced 5 times since i brought it. I would like a new one without the freezer on the bottom.
