It's really attractive and I love the bottom freezer, but we use the deli drawer many times a day, and you have to open both doors to access it, which is very inconvenient....also I only have one shelf that can hold tall items unless I remove a shelf, but either way, I find myself constantly re- arranging things to sake room for others...

We have had our model MFF2558 for a year and like it so much that we are buying another unit for one of our rental houses. The MFF2558 is basically a very well designed and built refrigerator. It has good storage features, runs very quiet and the cooling temperature is very consistent throughout the cold and freezer compartments. We originally chose the MFF2558 because it is one of the few on the market that does not have a space robbing door mounted ice maker and an accident prone water dispenser. Our only complaint is the flimsy plastic hinges on the deli tray door because they easily break off if you leave the tray door open and close the refigerator door on it. This happed to me one day while I was grabing something out of the tray in a hurry and the hinge snapped like a twig. A metal hinge would easily solve the problem. It is virtually impossible to find a truly better designed bottom freezer refrigerator. To me, it appears that all USA made bottom freezer refrigerators are from Whirlpool. If I understand it correctly, Amana was one of the few on the market with a bottom freezer refrigerator in the 90's and they were acquired by Maytag Corporation, who also had under its umbrella Jenn-Air, Jade, Magic Chef, Roper and KitchenAid. They also make stuff for Kenmore. Whirlpool acquired Maytag around 2005. That's why they all these brands have almost the same cookie cutter appearance and features. [...] Maytag service is first rate as well. The ceramic cooktop on our Maytag stove became discolored and after calling Maytag direct, a servicman came to our house the next day and took care of it under warranty; hardly any down time. Now, that's sevice.We are definitely very satisfied with Abt and Maytag and have purchase over the last year: two refigerators, a convection oven electric stove, a dual door electric built-in wall oven, a microwave and a dishwasher.
