Comments about Maytag Bravos Series White Steam Electric Dryer:
I bought this dryer 5 years ago & it worked OK for 3 years. Now it takes over 2 hrs. to dry a load. I've replaced the thermal fuse and the gas coils and checked other parts for continuity and they check OK. I can't afford to pay $300.00 to replace the main electronic control board which I think is the problem. The dryers from the past worked much better and did not have all the electronic junk in them which only lasts for a few years.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We have had this dryer for about 7 years. We bought the washer also. Dryer just quit working and it's not the thermal fuse. If I call someone it will be a minimum of $100 just to look at it. I think it's the main board which is over $200. By the time I spend that I might as well buy a cheap dryer without bells and whistles.
Love being able to dry my pillows and blankets. And everyfhing dries quickly

Overall, I am happy with this dryer. Unfortunately, it does seem to leave clothes damp especially large loads and jeans. I have gotten to the point where I dry almost every load on the "timed dry" cycle for an hour just to avoid checking on loads that aren't quite dry yet. Large loads do not dry completely on the sensor cycles, I assume because only the clothes that are on the outside of the load are touching whatever sensors there are and when those clothes are dry, it's done. The "rapid refresh" option is wonderful for my uniforms and removes the wrinkles in my shirts and pants every time. A great time-saver since I don't have to iron the uniform every night before work. I have used the dryer for a queen size comforter and it came out fluffy and renewed after one cycle. I have to say the the pros far outweigh the few cons on this one.
