There is nothing great about this refrigator. Had refrig for over year and half now: 8 months in - repairman fixed the seal on the freezer and the freezer door slide guides because it was not sealing properly. They fixed it and now, year & 1/2 later, its happening again. After about a year you will also notice water frozen in the bottom of the freezer and the door not sealing properly. Again Whirlpool went cheap. I can twait for another year to see what breaks. Not Happy at all. The Frig is cheaply made. Whirlpool skimped on the production and it shows. I am losing confidence in Whirlpool Products. YOur paying for the Whirlpool Gold name---and thats it.

The shelves on the door are particularly well designed to be sturdy and stable. The freezer compartment shelves are also well designed: it is easy to get food in and out.

Due to the design of the French door sealing mechanism, the left door does not close consistently if the right door is already closed, unless the handle is held while the door is deliberately pushed closed. Letting it swing closed by itself can result in the door not closing completely. Not bad if you alter your habits to accommodate this ideosyncrasy, but if you tend to be unfocussed or casual about closing the fridge, expect to occasionally find the left door ajar.

Extremely happy with my purchase. Purchased this refrigerator to replace my GE. Whirlpool has the least maintenance problem per my repairman. Also did not want a water dispenser again(save money on filters) becuz we buy bottle water all the time. Was skeptical about freezer space, but it has a good amt of space. Found that its better to stack freezer items vertically vs horizontal. The only minor problem for me is the noise from the ice maker but I could live with it. The ice maker comes with a small 8X11 container for the ice which I put a small shovel in there for guest to get their ice. Prefer this icemaker to these other bulky one that takes up a lot of space, plus it has perfect amount of ice. The side refrigerator door comes with a slot that fits a 12 pack box of sodas, you just slide the entire soda box into the slot. There are plenty of shelves, storage area that can be adjusted to your preference. Someone commented that Whirlpool refrigerator does not come with wheels, but mine did and it slides easily for cleaning. Love my French white refrigerator becuz eventually stainless steel will be outdated.

The long crisper drawer is flimsey, and doesnt fully extend so things are left in the back and spoil. It doesnt go back in smoothly.
The freezer is too small! you can't put much in the bins. There are 2 bars which seem to be affixed onto the the shelves which act as a divider but they dont seem to move so i can't put long or wide items inside.

After three weeks, exactly what we were looking for and a great value. We find it to be plenty large, and only occassionally have problems finding a spot for tall items (we have not really tried moving shelves around too much). We don't really hear it running much, and we have tile floors and an open floor plan. No complaints.

This is a "relatively" low-cost refrigerator that does what it needs to do - provides ample room to keep your food cold. In today's market of high priced refrigerator, this represents a good value.

Our only complaint is that the drawer-style freezer is a bit cumbersome; we frequently have to dig to find the item we are looking for. It's helpful that there is a deep basket and a slide out tray to help with organization. However, the drawer is the style these days and IMO a step back from a bottom freezer with a door and shelves.

The can dispenser is not useful unless you drink beverages from cans, and generally only want 1 kind of beverage available. We immediately replaced it with a 2nd large door shelf which I ordered online.

The door bins could be larger! I ordered additional "gallon sized" bins, and modified them to fit the door brackets. It seems to me that all of the bins could be made larger without much additional cost, and there is plenty of room to allow the additional size. Please pass this on to Whirlpool!

Only bad thing against this fridge is, if you have kids I can see you monitoring if it was closed all the way. The left door has a middle flapper vertical bar that closes a gap between the doors. If it is not pushed closed it will not close all the way. It is no big deal but just a down fall of the door design.
