Viking 10.5" Stainless Steel Griddle Cover, Model SCG12CSS

The stainless steel griddle cover is for use on the gas/dual fuel ranges and/or rangetops with a 10 1/2 inch W. thermostatically controlled steel griddle/simmer plate.

Features:

Stainless steel cover with Viking Professional handle
For use with gas/dual fuel ranges and gas rangetops with a 10 1/2"W. thermostatically controlled steel griddle/simmer plate
Does not have to be removed when operating adjacent surface burners (prevents spillage into the griddle/grill area when using the burners)
Fits over griddle/simmer plate
For open burner and sealed burner models

Note:

This item does not fit the 42 inch wide VGRT or the Portable Griddle. For use with Classic ranges and rangetops only; does not fit Custom ranges or rangetops.
The stainless steel cover with handle fits over griddle/simmer plate. It does not have to be removed when operating adjacent surface burners.

I ordered the stainless griddle cover after I burned up the second wooden cutting-board style griddle cover by mistakenly turning on the griddle instead of the oven once too often. This is a hazard Viking should address by clearly distinguishing the oven and griddle knobs. I've now painted my griddle knob red to give myself a visual cue. The stainless is a much more finished look and for the cost of the Viking range, should probably come standard. It's worth it though and I'm sure will last the life of the range.

Exactly what I needed to cover griddle that wasn't looking so good! I wasn't able to get product from store where I bought stove-it is still on back order with them! Alittle pricey for what it is, but worth it!!!
