Whirlpool 15.5" Duet Washer And Dryer White Pedestal With Drawer - XHP1550VW

I moved into a new home that had Whirlpool Duet Washer & Dryer. I'm used to having the storage pedestals underneath, so I went online and ordered these. Perfect fit and just what I needed!

The main purpose of this is for ergonomic functionality, and a cleaner look. Less stuff on top of washer/dryer. And you don't have to bend to do laundry anymore! The only negative side is that it isn't free, you have to pay for it.

Originally purchased our duet washer and dryer without pedestals and now, as long as we were moving, I decided to add them. The original grey color was not available in the 15" high model, but the lunar silver is surprisingly close (just more shiny). The washer walks a bit on high spin with an uneven load, such as sheets tend to be, but some balancing helps. Getting the duet units on top of these is a chore. Make sure you have a couple strong guys to lift them (esp. the washer). Having the transport bolts in place is also recommended. One of our pedestals had a dent in the side fresh out of the box. The box was not damaged so Whirlpool must have manufactured it that way and I wasn't about to return it. :-( I just put that edge where it cannot be seen. Overall, having the washer and dryer higher is nice and the additional storage is appreciated. The benefits outweigh any problems.

Perfect match with my Duet washer and dryer. Lots of capacity and an adjustable divider. Puts the machines at a much more "back-friendly" height.

The product is easily installed and works well

No more bending down to collect or throw in clothes and laundry. This makes it easy on your back. I am glad I got one for both the washer and dryer. You will not be disappointed.

This is a must need product if you have a front loading washer and dryer. The washer and dryer sit so low to the ground without the pedestals that it will break your back having to bend down to move clothes from the washer to the dryer and then pulling them out of the dryer. Also with the pedestals you will get extra storage which is alway nice.

Raises the level of the washer.

The pedestals make doing laundry a breeze. Washer and dryer are now at a more comfortable height. Storage space is a bonus.

Very quiet and cleans great

The pedastels are beautiful! I can't wait to see them with the washer and dryer on them. I'm very excited about not having to bend over quite so far to do laundry!

Excellent item, ordered the 15" height so that it can hold detergent and all other supplies. Havent installed these yet. But dont anticipate any issues.

Relatively easy to install. Units still very stable on pedestals.

These do the job ust fine. The biggest two drawbacks are the high price and for myself, having to hire someone to install them. The washer is very very heavy so be careful and don't hurt your back!

Easy to install and use

These pedestals are great and can be easily installed. Make sure you have the right tools to do the job. It's much easier to remove the drawer then bolt to the bottom of the washer/dryer. They work great and make our washer/dryer look like giants.

This product raises the height of the dryer eliminating back problems.

This product is exactly what I was looking for and considerably less expensive than area stores were offering. They work exactly how they should and are a great addition to our home.

This item was very easy to install (4 Screws). The height was perfect, it added 15.5 inches to our washer & dryer, which makes it alot easier to load and unload cloths. My wife loves the added height.

was hesitant on buying the pedestals but now i am so glad i bought them.put washer/dryer at perfect height & have drawers for storage.

i already loved my duet combo, but these pedestals make all the difference. that 15 inches has done wonders for my low back. i installed them all by myself and gained over the top space bacause i now have lower drawer space

Is perfect for getting the washer and dryer to a convenient height. More storage than I imagined.

These pedestals raise the washer/dryer to a comfortable level. No need to bend down, especially with my neck and back problems. I bought them for the height but they also have lots of usable storage space.[...]

the pedestals i purchased are just storage stands for a whirlpool washer and dryer. they are fine and serve their intended function as expected. just follow installation instructions and tighten the leveling nut and they dont vibrate. ABT deserves allthe credit for their price, customer service, and followup. it was a real pleasure dealing with ABT. if i ever buy on line again i will first check with ABT to see if they have what ineed.
