We ordered this model, but this model was discontinued and we were sent the new model that's Energy Star compliant I think it's WTW58ESVWH). At first I was skeptical because I had read many "complaints" about similar washers with an Auto-Fill water feature. But I've been really happy with this one. It is true that if you close the lid, start the washer and then reopen the lid while the washer is filling, it overrides the water level sensor and fills for a full load. For me, now that I know this, I just plan better. I love the glass top and the agitator is effective, yet gentle. This washer is a great alternative to the large, expensive front loaders. I also like that all the controls are knobs, not electronic buttons. I think it's the perfect blend of old school washer and modern green technology. The only con is that it's a little loud, which is surprising because of it's "quiet" package. It's not an issue for us, but others may be at a disadvantage if the washer is located near a family area or bedrooms.

Does a solid job - good value for the money. Runs quickly and cleans well. The glass top is a nice plus as well.

Only minus is it's noisy at times. Mine is in the basement so this is not a problem for me.

I wanted an attractive, straight forward washer and dryer, without a lot of extra buttons I knew I would never use. Here you get normal, casual, delicate, and handwash; with hot, warm, cool, and cold water. What more do you need? The dryer is simple as well. Extremely well made. I am surprised that the capacity is so large, because the washer and dryer are not large and don't take up a lot of space. Totally recommend the Maytag Centennial Washer and Dryer. Plus, the window on the washer door is fun to have, if you like staring at your clothes as they splash around.
