I have been forced to use electric cooking for many years because of high-rise living. I cracked our previous GE cooktop and assumed this would simply replace it. It is by far the best electric cooking experience I've ever had. The Power Boil does what it says, and the way several burners can be resized with the touch of a button maximizes the use of the cooktop during a big dinner preparation. Remarkably for electric, when something has gotten too hot and I reduce the heat the cooktop responds quickly, so I don't have to do the usual trick of taking the pot off the stove till it cools down. The absence of knobs is a fantastic help with keeping it clean, but like all black cooktops this one shows every smear and scratch and requires a good cleaning after every use if you don't want the stains to become permanent.

I did everything through the website and was impressed with Abt's thoroughness. They emailed and called in reminders of the delivery, came when they said they would, installed the cooktop and took away the old one within 20 minutes.
