We just laid to rest the 2nd unit of this model Danby side by side within a 4 year period. The first time it failed the compressor just stopped and the cooler failed to work; as this was within the 24 month period it was replaced, but not without grief and delay by Danby. The second unit stopped again, and although the under warranty for the sealed system, labor & shipping to Canada were on our dime. At an estimated $900 to ship and repair, no thanks. I'll never buy a Danby product again.

Please Google this company and model number and check online reviews before you buy it. All the reviews I see today had the exact same experience I did. Our Danby stopped heating about 15 months after we bought it. We had a 24 month warranty so the product was repaired at no cost to us (Abt did a great job w/the service). It's now 14 months since it was repaired and it stopped cooling again. based on the other online reviews this is evidently very common for this Danby model. A [$] wine cooler that's rarely opened shouldn't break every 12-18 months.

Abt's service and delivery have been outstanding. Danby's customer service is another story altogether. It's non-existent.
