I love my Breville Variable tea kettle. This is the 2nd one I purchased. I just got one for my son. I've had mine for over a year and it works great. I love being able to set the kettle for the different types of teas.

I originally purchased the One Touch Tea Maker and didn't like the fact that it had too much sediment from the tea leaves. I called Breville and they asked me what kind of tea I used. I told them different varieties from the high-end tea store at the local mall. They blamed it on the finer tea blends, but I use the same tea in one of the store's Perfect Tea Makers and have never found ANY grounds/sediment in my cup. So I purchased this tea kettle from AFT and it has been exactly what I needed. I love that it quickily boils the water to the perfect temp for whatever tea I am using. So I am very happy with my purchase.

I gave it a 5 because I really, really like it and am drinking more green tea. However, almost did a 4 star because the ready signal is so quiet that I don't hear it in the room next to me. Not like the sound of a timer, etc.

I use the product daily to warm or boil water for green, white and rooibos teas. It boils water quickly and has a clear boiling indicator. The main body gets hot though so be careful not to touch it while in use. OK to touch the handle as water boils.

As with my other Breville items, it's very, very well made. Takes cold water from the fridge (~38 degrees) and boils it in under a minute safely. Multiple temperature settings are great, and has a "hold" button to keep the water hot for up to 20 minutes.
