Installing the bracket onto the washer was rather simple for the sides and back and does not require any out of the ordinary tools. The only difficult part about it was getting the dryer onto the washer. My wife and I were able to lift it up with a little struggle. Once it was on top, we slid it into the back part of the bracket then had to readjust the foot so that the front of the foot was parallel to the bracket so the bracket can attach. We had to make sure we had a long enough cord for the dryer and also has to extend the dryer vent hose.

We have been eager to install this to gain more space in our laundry room, and over a month, yes, over a month after ordering it we received it. The item indicated initially before ordering that it would be ~7-8 days before shipping. I waited 2 weeks and checked the status, and it did not ship. So I chatted with ABT online and the much research found that it was not in stock and they would have to order it from the factory, which would be at the end of the month or another 2 weeks.(communication about this would have nice, I could have ordered elsewhere.) So since I got a free shipping deal, I decided to wait and be patient. The end of the month came and a couple of days later I still see nothing online of it shipping, so I go to contact ABT and see they sent me an email. The email indicated it would not ship until the end of the next week and that I could cancel the order if I want. So in the end I finally received a communication and eventually received it.

You have to purchase this product in order to stack the LG Dryer and Washer on top of each other. Glad I stacked them, wasn't anticipating the cost.

this is NOT needed for the small capacity washer-dryer combo (DLEC855), despite what Abt and LG will tell you. The stacking brackets for these small units are packed with the dryer.

Honestly I was skeptical, but the product actually works and is very quick/easy to install.

Make sure the area in which you intend to stack your washer/dryer is sufficiently high/wide/deep AND that it has both 220 and 110 outlets installed, etc. and you should be good to go.

One caveat on stacking the washer/dryer, the 220 outlet I was using was too low on the wall and I had to order a longer plug for my dryer (once it was stacked on the dryer the factory 4' cord was not long enough to reach the outlet).

When it arrived it seemed too light weight for the job but it has worked fine and was easy to install. The hardest part is getting help to lift the dryer.

My wife and I installed this kit ourselves. Lifing the dryer used a few muscles, but it wasn't that heavy. Installation of the actual kit couldn't have been much easier--two patches of tape, a couple of screws, and that was it. Easy-peasy.
