Love this oven! I wanted a double oven, but didn't have the space for two full sized wall ovens. This model provides the best of both worlds. Both top and bottom ovens have ample space for our needs. Controls are very intuitive, and because they are a 'touch' system, there are no protruding buttons to collect dust or grease, and thus easy to clean. The bottom convection oven has been great for my baking needs, and I can cook a pizza in the upper oven concurrently. I particularly like the internal lighting, which is nice and bright. I also appreciate the fact that since there are two smaller depth oven doors, it makes for a much easier reach for us 'vertically challenged' individuals.

The lower oven is useless for cooking large (i.e. 18 lb) turkey. When you use the offset rack in the bottom position as you're required to do when cooking a large turkey, the rack hits the gasket on the oven door. You cannot simply slide the rack out and instead must lit the rack over the gasket. This causes the turkey to slide backwards in the oven and spill. Unacceptable. Also, the lower rack bows from the weight and gets caught on the heating element. There is no weight restriction listed anywhere for this rack. I cannot recommend this oven.

Great oven, but one major flaw...
from Ann Arbor, MI, United States
Comments about GE Profile 30" PT925DNBB Black Built-In Single/Double Electric Wall Oven:
I absolutely love this oven. The only flaw is that the heating coils are fixed to the bottom of each chamber, and are NOT on a hinge. This makes it impossible to wipe or clean the bottom of the oven. Every oven I've ever had previous to this one has had the coils on a hinge to lift for cleaning. This oven cooks very well, but get used to having an icky, ash mess on the bottom because it is impossible to wipe clean.

Great use of space
from Albuquerque, NM, United States
I have always wanted two ovens and for me this unit works in the space I have. The larger oven can cook a 15 lb turkey thanks to the convection feature and being able to put pan on lowest shelf. My oven was not calibrated when installed and I found that I needed to add approx. 5 more minutes before using when preheating. Top oven is super useful for most everything and I use it all the time rather than heating up the bigger oven. It does have two racks but when rack on lowest level, it is a bit difficult to pull out so be sure to open door all the way and use the handles.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Great use of 2 ovens in 1 opening
from Orlando, FL, United States
PROS: - Ideal for 1-6 family members for moderate to high amounts of cooking, requiring various oven functions, especially when space doesn't allow for 2 standard-size wall ovens. - Smaller (upper) oven is ideal for casseroles and re-heating food. - Larger (lower) oven comfortably accommodates a 13 lb. turkey. - More energy efficient than standard single or double-oven, because it's oven cavities are smaller, requiring less heat. - I've had mine for 5 years, and continues to work accurately CONS: - Difficult to read and confusing control panel. Be sure to have adequate overhead lighting to see controls. Pay close attention when operating controls, so as to not mistakenly operate some of the functions on the upper oven, if you meant to operate the lower oven... a common issue with my household. - Racks are a bit flimsy to slide, and hold heavier items like a 4-qt. cast-iron cocotte w/ lid (dutch oven). Racks tend to bend down and come in contact with the bottom heating element. - Height of larger (lower) oven cannot accommodate a stand-up chicken/hen for vertical roasting. Alternative would be to use this cooking method on an outdoor grill. - Self-cleaning function emits a strong gas, to the point our eyes and throats start burning, and therefore have to open doors and windows. Recommend self-clean ovens at different times. SUMMARY: If you're looking for efficient use of kitchen space, I highly recommend this oven. I wish we could order higher grade racks, that were more durable and slide easier.
Great for Those who LOVE Baking!
from Oakland, CA, United States
I found this single sized double oven appliance by accident. I loved the concept - two ovens in the space of one. Novel idea! Face it , only 4 - 5 times per year do I truly NEED a large size oven. Most of the time I am baking breads, casseroles, cookies, roasting veggies, etc. With this appliance, I only heat up half of the oven space. We have a separate 30 in oven mounted under our cooktop - so thanksgiving was very time efficient: turkey in the 30 in oven, while I proofed rolls and baked dressing and a pie all at the same time. The only con: I am still figuring out the placement for different types of baking... one oven is slightly larger than the other. Rack placement means racks slice the bottom oven into thirds; top oven in half. This will take some practice or experimenting to fine tune. So far, nothing has burned - everything has cooked evenly.
LOVE this wonderful appliance.
This takes the place of drop-in stove. Gives me extra space by having two ovens, I have a cooktop now, and I don't have to bend down to the floor to take out what I've baked.
Great double oven for 2
from North Carolina, United States
I have been using this product since August (~5 months). They are smaller ovens, but it is just the two of us. It gives me 2 ovens, but does not take up a lot of space. It also has great features, proofing, time delay start, and a internal probe. I have not used the probe feature yet. The top oven is smaller and I usual will do things that fit in a shallow casserole dish, cookie sheet, cake pan, cupcake tins.... because they are smaller, you will have to rethink how you put multiple dishes in the oven at one time and for larger items you have to take out the rack in the lower oven, which going from 2 big wall oven s to this double oven does take getting used to. The few things that would be a good redesign is that the controls are on the door of the top oven. It is sometimes hard to read as they are not backlit, also a lot of steam comes out of the ovens when you open the door and it hits that control panel every time. I have not had a problem, but all that moisture hitting that seems bad. All in all if you are down sizing and you still want 2 ovens, it has been a great product to buy.

A very good replacement for my old GE built-in. Sleek and elegant looking. The features are very good and other features will be put to real test come Thanksgiving.
