Element IQ� Variable temperature distribution
For each of the 9 menu functions, Element IQ� suggests the ideal temperature and time, and adjusts the power of the elements for perfect results no matter what you are cooking. And with an unprecedented 1800 watts, Element IQ� toasts faster and more evenly than ever before. Broil function activates top three heating elements to the top only to melt and brown. Toast function activates top two and bottom two heating elements to seal and crisp. Bake function uses top two and bottom two heating elements with the convection fan turned on, that ensures the item is cooked right through.

Without compromising the performance, the features, the ergonomics, the durability of the materials chosen, only then did the form evolve. Cooking for one it's great to have a quality reliable safe toaster oven. I love to cook, and bake. I enjoy cooking even if it's just for me. This big little oven is amazing and saves me electricity as I do not have to turn on either of my two built-in ovens every day. The toaster oven has performed amazingly well, saved me from burns (because the tray pops out when the door is opened)! It is is a quality product that will outlast three or four of the ineffcient, tinny toater ovens costing under $100.00. I know because I have tried all of the others and wind up either throwing them out or giving them to goodwill. I consider this Breville Toaster Oven a very good investment.

Does basic toasting very well. Has a bagel setting which toasts the cut side, but barely toasts the bottom. Can also replace oven for most baking -- heats up quicker than an oven and doesn't heat up the kitchen as much as a full size oven. Only drawback is the big size.

Great for simple items like chicken nuggets and fries, pizza and toast and bagels. It can also do a small roast and a small roast chicken. I have two Viking Professional ovens and the Breville can compete with them as far as small items go.
