We bought this for extra freezer space as the refrigerator/freezer in our kitchen has a small and awkward freezer. No bells and whistles (shelves do not adjust and manual defrost), but it fits nicely in our basement utility room, is reasonably quiet and is working well so far, especially given the modest price tag - no complaints.

I am single and love to cook. Most of what I cook is not worth preparing in small amounts because it involves a lot of preparation (e.g. dicing veggies to prepare an Asian wok dish). To limit costs and enjoy my favorite meals, I make enough for 4-5 meals and freeze individual packages to bring to work or eat for dinner.
