Buy this plasma!

Best bang for the buck! If you spend more, you're wasting your money. Piano black case looks amazing, however, it is a dust magnet and requires constant attention. But, WOW, the picture is fantastic. Bought this after careful consideration and research on CNET (they give you a great tutorial on HDTV tech and purchasing for your needs) which is how I ended up with this Samsung. Only good for home theater if you are hooking it up to a separate audio system w/ subwoofer. No TV of this form-factor can produce the dynamic range necesary for a theater experience. So far, great for watching sporting events and have not noticed any blur. If I could have, I would have bought two of them. Great deals right after Super Bowl. Remote only controls other Samsung products, which was not clear until I received the unit. It seemed like it was being touted as a universal remote. Also, the remote buttons are not backlit and is a real challenge to figure out which button is which in the dark, as they all feel similar.

Samsung makes a great TV, however they have a bad issue with a high pitch noise when they are on. It does not matter the inputs you are using or the AV source. After research, it is a bad power supply in the TV. Samsung knows of the issue and still makes them this way.

This is a great tv for your buck but if your looking for super clear DLP is the only way to go. I have a 10 year old Samsung DLP that spins circles around the clarity on this one

This is a great value for the money and definitely the choice over an LCD. Particularly if your room doesn't have a ton of glare, this is the way to go. The blacks are excellent and I can't imagine picture quality getting much better. All in all, my wife and I are thrilled with the set and don't think we could've done better for the price.
