This is a wonderful unit, does everything it says it will. The only negative, and this is a very small one is on the highest setting the fan is a little loud, but very powerful.

My goal was to move lots of hot air quitely. There are only a few in the market that move 400 cf/m and none that I could find that did it at the sound level (sones) that the Allure III does.
nice but a little wierd

The stove hood is very attractive. The touch controls are great and I like the halogen lights with the 3 settings. The fan has a burst mode of 420cfm, however, when using the top 2 fan speeds, the thing is really loud. Wierd also, is that on the higher settings, the hood actually starts pushing air out through the light holes, and a bunch of "turbulence" is created around the front of the hood. I dunno, but I'm trying to like it.
