Great Design, Worth the Few Extra $

This player has much better video and audio than the previous player I had. That player did withstand over two years of hard use by a 3 year old, hopefully this Sony gets some longer life and gentler use from the now 5 year old. The controls are intuitive, but a little close together and easy to fat finger into the neighboring control. I must comment on the swivel feature. It only swivels in one direction which I think may be a fatal flaw as I'm sure my kid will try to move it in the wrong direction...

We purchased this to for our grandchildren to use on a recent flight. Simple to use, swivel screen is so nice, both flights full of other passengers agree that this was a great entertainer. We've used other players in the past but the long battery life and swivel screen makes this the best one by far!!!

Great product. Yes, it is not made for young kids (i have a 2 yr old) so adults should rotate screen and insert discs if you want it to last - Its a Sony, not a Fisher Price. Love the remote. Could not find a backseat headrest mount that works so I used a few products from velcro. Works great for me and I do not leave on headrest when not using. Long car trips are now a breeze, and I enjoy watching my movies as well - great picture.

Great DVD Player!!

This is an excellent DVD player - I only have a few dislikes. I used it with my toddler and he gave it a knock which made it skip - normal for using with a toddler. Also, the battery pack connects nicely but it could come off if you move the player around a lot - then your DVD will shut off. But overall - beautiful picture, great sound, easy controls, comes with remote, car plug etc... and the swivel screen is really nice too! I would definitely reccomend this product to anyone.

Perfect for the kids in the car and for use in the condo/hotel. Sound and picture quality are both excellent. Swivel screen accommodates viewing from any angle. Remote allows adjustments from the front seat. I charged the player at home and did not need to plug it into the car lighter on the trip.

Completely worth it!!!

I love this DVD player!!! So far so great. The picture is amazing compared to the other portable DVD player we own, and although we haven't tested it yet, the battery life is supposed to be three times the other one. My daughter loves the fact that it's pink, and that she can swivel the screen. The controls are also super easy. No instructions needed for my 5yo. It was a great purchase, well worth the little extra money (compared to the $80 one we bought a couple years ago) I can't wait to test it out on our next flight!!!

Would have liked a USB port, but that feature was minimal in regards to what I wanted to use the dvd player for.

Perfect for two travlers

We travel by plane alot from the west coast to the east. Most of our flights are over 4 hours and don't come with movies. So this device is perfect. Sharp picture, just big enough to put on your pull out tray and still have room for food and drinks. But the best parts are the two ear phone outlets for sharing and the easy pause and start for those trips to the lav. Perfect travel companion...!

Picture quality is excellent, love the swivel feature. 9" screen much clearer on details than the old 7" I had. I use it to watch art videos and other learning videos while travelling in the car (passenger of course!) Definitely need headphones in car for clear reception. This is the best portable DVD out there. I already had the 8" version, but needed an additional one for my music studio. [...] Don't buy high end electronics from no name companies, it's just not worth taking the risk.

This portable dvd player arrived really quickly. Transaction was seamless. Love the look of this player. Easy to use controls with touch screen. I have only used for about an hour so far. Planning on taking it on a long drive on vacation. Beautiful picture quality. Would not hesistate to purchase from this site again. Thank you for a great product at a really affordable pice. Excellent picture and sound. Bought to entertain toddler during travel. Worked great with no problems and battery never ran out.

Great for travel - would buy again!

We bought this DVD player prior to taking our 4 year old on a trip which included a 3 hour flight. I bought it because of the good sized screen and advertised long battery life. Our old one wouldn't hold enough charge to make it that long on the plane. This player has a great picture, it sat nicely on the tray table without sliding around and the battery charge lasted the whole trip (2 flights totalling 4 hours and a layover). It wasn't too heavy to carry around with our other carry-on items. The swivel screen was nice to be able to turn it slightly away from sunlight without having to turn the whole player. I was concerned about this feature (worried about it breaking) but it really feels sturdy and holds its position once you turn it. Overall, we were very pleased with the product and anticipate using it in the car when we take longer trips. Thanks!
