Though the lack of a number entry pad for custom times seems weird at first, we're really getting used to the pop-out knob. It allows easy choices of custom times like 1:41 seconds (perfect for warming a cup of milk for a latte.) Everything else behaves as specified. It does seem more powerful than it predecessor; easy to overheat small amounts. Our hope is that it will last longer too.

Tinny and cheap-looking
Probably is cooking fine, but the door sounds tinny and cheap when opened or closed. The push bar is also takes more muscle than normal.

This is a great microwave. Very easy to use. There is a quick reference guide for those who want the basic steps asap. Just keep it nearby until you get familiar. I love the quick 1 min button which you can tap up to 10 times for 10 mins. and not use the pop out dial to heat. The popcorn button timer can also be adjusted for more less time. My old GE Browner finally gave out after 9 years. Loved it, but this one is even better. Great price and service at ABT.

defrosting better than others

Use primarily for heating water for tea, reheating coffee, defrosting with power level selection - worked great without cooking if watched closely, microwave popcorn, reheat of leftovers. Really liked the power choice for defrosting and with rotation tray if watching food carefully never started to cook meat. Only negative feature is after just one month short of 2 yrs use it has broken down. I do use it frequently during a day but considering replacing with perhaps a slightly larger microwave. Since initial cost is reasonable may recommend but may consider trying different brand due to 2 yr life span.

This microwave cooks very quickly and evenly. I find the time cook feature a little unclear, but I'm sure I'll figure it out in time. Controls not as intuitive as the Panasonic Micro/convection I have at home.

At Last! A Microwave that does it all!

It does exactly what the manual says it will do.I use it all the time, espcially for leftover meals, and heating soup, coffee etc. It's very aattractive and I just love it. I would like the light to go on when I open the door rather than waiting until it starts heating the contents. It's doesn't affect anything other than it's would be nice to have it on before you put the food in as it's brighter easier to see what you're doing and it kind of says "welcome"!
