Love My 47LH50
By Sam X

So, I did a lot of searching for reviews and the best TV that I could get that was 47" but delivered a good quality at a fair price. I was so pleased with this TV that I bought two of them. YOu will not be disappointed. You have a wide range of picture adjustments which can help you fine tune the picture to meet your needs.

I am not a big television watcher but my LG HD tv draws me to watching for hours. There are various settings for the type of program you are watching adding to the pleasure. I would recommend this television.
After shopping around, I founf this TV to be the best buy for your bucks. Give it a try, you WILL NOT BE disappointed:)

Forget experts who are never satisfied. I researched a lot of sets. This one had more features than I will ever need. Specs are great. Picture is excellent right out of the box and I havent even calibrated it yet. Price is very good for this high level of quality.

Best TV ever
from Spanaway, Wa
The realism of this tv is incredible. The depth and color is unreal. The characters on tv look as though they are right in front of you. The best tv i have ever watched and would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent TV for the price!

First, I am a first time LG customer for anything having just brought this set home from Fry's Electronics (their price even after sales tax beat the online E-tailers!). I own two other HDTVs, a 32" Sony 720p LCD, and a 42" Samsung 720p plasma, both several years old. Having spent nearly half a year shopping and researching options for finally upgrading to 1080p, I decided to settle with LCD over plasma, and decided on the 47LH50. Sony and Samsung's offerings in the same size/performance range cost about 50% more, and there is certainly not a 50% better picture with them. Finally, LED technology is still too expensive and in my opinion even though their colors are better, they are prone to display uniformity issues (LED TVs are lit from the sides, not the back like regular LCDs). As one review stated, “LEDs just aren’t ready for prime time yet." Maybe the next generation... Set up is easy. Just take it out of the box, install the stand (if using an entertainment table), and plug everything in. It does ask for a network connection for first time initialization updates, and that was no problem as the router is nearby (built in Wi-Fi would have been great, but at this price, I'm not complaining). The colors are outstanding and my reservations about the black levels were all but hushed. Even SD channels look better than expected (but not as good as the plasma on SD). HD however, is a whole other story. Playing a Blu-Ray movie (Resident Evil Apocalypse) through the PS3 via HDMI was mind blowing. Some scenes were literally like looking through a window. I haven't checked out the internet capabilities of this TV yet because I do media online stuff through the PS3. However, I can see how that would be useful to those who don’t have or want a separate web-capable piece of hardware. Overall, this is probably the best bang for the buck in a 46-47" class LCD. As stated, you have to pay a lot more for similar offerings from competitors. In fact, the competitors only offer 40" LCDs in this price/performance range. Well done LG, and I will keep you on my short list for other product needed as well.

made to last
I finally bought myself a big screen t.v. after many years of waiting. Imagine my disappointment when 2 months after I bought it we were 4 1/2 feet deep in sea water from hurricane Ike. Water rose 4 inches above the bezel. I was sure all was lost. Four weeks later after moving to temp. quarters, I removed the back, sprayed the only board to get wet with electronic cleaning fluid... wait for it ... three days later when all was dry it came on and has been working ever since.

Have had this TV for over 1/2 year now, and love it! The 120 Hz processor makes action so much smoother. You'll want to watch all your favorite movies all over again! Definitely recommend and HD DVD player or Bluray if you don't have already. Component just limits the TV's abilities.
