The STR-DH500 5.1 Channel A/V Receiver features HDMI� �Pass-through� and 1080/24p capability thus making it compatible with the latest HD sources (i.e. Blu-ray Disc� Players, the PlayStation� 3, etc.). The STR-DH500 HD features 5 HD inputs providing ample connection options at an inexpensive price. The STR-DH500 has a DIGITAL MEDIA PORT input expanding the flexibility to playback music from various audio sources (i.e. iPod�, Walkman, Bluetooth device or PC) with one of the various accessories (sold separately).

This does so much more than some owners will ever need. my comcast DVR remote works with this Sony Receiver too. It is easy to use if you don't mind reading the manual; no one can expect a product that does everything to be plug and play! I did spend an afternoon reading and interacting with the receiver. Howerver, THE GREAT SOUND QUALITY IS WORTH EVERY MINUTE IT TAKES TO SET THIS UP!!!

Althought the system is adequate...i should've spent a little more and get the series above. All in all, I got what i paid for...which is a Sony that fits my needs.
