BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
I have had this T.V for more than a year running more than 16 hours a day non stop. No problems . Picture quality for HD channels is the best among all DLP T.V's especially the colors. Sound is not the best but if you can get a home theatre system then sound should not be a problem.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
The picture on this tv is amazing. I am not sure why the other reviewer is complaining about a blurry picture. The only time my picture is not sharp is when I am viewing standard definition. This makes sense because the pixels are stretched. Blue Ray and video games on the PS3 are absolutely amazing, sharp and clear. The only complaint I have about this tv is the sound. Can't seem to get the right volume- it is either too low or too loud. Not a major issue though, as I was planning on getting a nice surround sound system. Most people with tv's this large probably already have surround sound anyway.

BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
The picture quality isnt what I hoped for. I have had this tv for 3 weeks now and have had to unplug it 3 times to reset the the tv do to poor picture quality. Some things are really clear and other or blurry looking.
