This is the perfect office (dorm room, bedroom, etc.) sound system. The unit is attractive and does not take up much space. The sound is great - either through the provided speakers or through headphones. The iPod doc is easy to use and the remote control syncs nicely - you're able to control the iPod by the Sony remote. In addition, I hooked up a Sirius Satellite Radio docking station to the "Audio In" input and am able to enjoy all its offerings. The only downside I see is that the speakers do not attach to the control until making portability a bit more difficult.

I like the styling and size of this unit and found the features barely adequate for the price. Where this unit falls short is the mediocre sound and the lack of an Aux FM antenna jack (only the CMT-LX40i has one but there is no way to tell from the box). I mean really the lead antenna provided is not really good for anything, granted I live in a bad area in San Diego county for Radio reception, but it’s not like I live in the middle of nowhere. All the radio stations around here and I get one in stereo and the rest of the FM dial is static.

Disappointed

I've been a buyer of Sony products for years using all price points but was very disappointed in this deal. the "eject" button works sporadically. It take days before it'll spit out a CD. Sound quality not bad for the price. However, I just bought it...had it two weeks because its a long drive to the store but, will have to take it back. Doesn't work properly. Disappointed.

Working Good till now

Its buttons and controls are not very well thought and might need some time before get use to it for simpletons like me. But over all its the best value.

Smaller unit with adequate sound and easy to move from room to room or out on the patio. My iPhone/iPod works well with this unit. Abt service was great.

disappointing

I bought this for my wife for a birthday present with an i pod touch. After four months the cd player broke and it stopped playing and charging the ipod.

I bought this as a gift for my son, but was disappointed that it didn't charge the ipod/iphone unless it is turned on. So the ipod has to be taken off all the time just to be charged. Would have been nice to just leave it on and forget it. Sound is OK. Wish there were more presets. I honestly thing the design is ugly. Would have been nicer if Sony made the ipod/iphone try retractable. But I guess you can't win them all.

We've had the system for only a few weeks, but it works very well, produces very good sound, and is simple to operate.I wish it had more precise equalization, but given the inexpensive price, you can't expect everything.We don't have an Ipod, so can't comment on how that feature works.
