This is one of Panasonics top models, and the price reflects that. Picture quality is stunning, and user options to control the picture settings are very good. Dont expect the internal speakers to live up to the picture quality though. A home theatre speaker system is a must here.

Amazing picture quality. Second best TV CNet reviewed in 2009. I get chills when I watch Blu-Ray movies. Just be aware, it is heavy, 75lbs with the stand (70lb without it), but it is still lighter than my old RCA 36in CRT.

Fantastic Plasma

Spent weeks pouring over forums about HDTV's, trying to decide on Plasma, LED, etc. V10 had banners waving in many reviews, it was the ideal choice. Abt matched an online competitors price, which was $300 less than MSRP, I had to pay sales tax [...] I cannot say enough good things about the display and Abt, top notch.

Great Picture; Easy Setup

Pluses: See above. Minuses: Nothing major. When I tried to update the firmware, it took a week of trying to get through their servers. The download progress would stop at 25% completed. Eventually, it worked.Other: Assembly was easy. I would recommend laying the TV on a couch with the bottom sticking out over the edge. Then, the assembled stand is easy to attach. With two people, turn the TV upright and place it on the floor. Then, lift the TV up and put it on your entertainment table. I believe two people are necessary to ensure the TV is not damaged.[...]

I've only had the television for a couple of weeks but, so far, it has a fantastic picture in all light conditions (day/night). My only negatives are ... for this level/price you would think that PIP would be included. And, why can't the remote operate my cable box?

Terrific display, especially for movies

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

If you're looking for a display that delivers a real movie-like feel to your home theater, consider the V10. After having the display for a month, I am truly wowed by the picture. The black levels provide superb depth and shadow, adding a lot of detail to dark scenes while still remaining dark. The 24p playback on Blu-Ray films is smooth and completely free of judder. Watching a film like Blade Runner, with a lot of dark yet highly detailed scenes, is a real treat on this set. The Custom Mode also provides access to a lot of settings that can be tweaked to get the most out of the picture. There are only two significant cons. The highly touted THX mode simply doesn't look good. It's dim and the colors just look off. The Studio Reference mode, while also dark, seems more realistic and pleasant. The other is that the set is pretty reflective. Straight on, it's not bad, but if you have a light source on one side and are watching from an angle, it is quite reflective. I use the set mostly at night in a room with dimmed lighting, so it's not an issue for me. Overall, I love the set and am quite happy with my purchase.
