Good MP3 player

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I bought this product for MP3 use and am pleased with it. I generally play recorded and lengthy radio programs lasting over 4 hours. Since I do not listen to the entire program each time, a bookmark function would have been nice (audio file bookmarking is rare for MP3 players). However, since it has voice recording, if I switch to music files, I will make a recording to identify the time I stopped the long program, to resume later. This is relatively easy, as the FF function speeds up faster through a file the longer it is held. This player does have a bookmark function for video and text files. I usually use full-sized (low impedance) quality headphones when listening to music and find that the sound quality is very good, when played flat with a little bass boost. While it has 30 sound volume level settings, I have found that using the volume limiter, which goes to a maximum 15 setting, provides good volume at that level. You might keep in mind that to get good battery life, you should avoid keeping the display on continuously, and do not use any of the moving video displays for your music files. This will deplete the battery 12 times faster than a simple picture display, as it apparently uses up the battery as though it is playing a video file. The touch controls work well, and the on/off button also works to lock these controls to avoid accidental touches when you are moving or exercising. I had to use the reset button a couple of times when I could not pull up the right menu, and when the unit did not function after leaving it in my hot car. This corrected the problems, without affecting any files or other settings. Since I use the player hooked up to my car audio system, and then use head or earphones at other times, I was pleased that the jack appears very sturdy and stays securely in the player. Thus, if you drop it, it will not disconnect easily from your plug, and might avoid hitting the ground. This player also has a number of other file playing capabilities, and software that is relatively easy to use to load files into it. The equalizer and other sound effects, as well as many other features available in this player offer very good customization options. Overall, I think this is a good buy. I also chose to get the ABT warranty extension, as previous players used generally lasted about two or three years. BTW, when I purchased the warranty in the store I was given a discount on it, without asking.

BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have returned this model twice w/in 1-2 weeks of receiving it. It would just stop working. If it werent for the fact that all of my songs are saved in a Samsung file, I would just switch brands. So far, the latest one is still working, though it did stop working for about 2 days...

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I like to listen to the 4 hour Alex Jones podcast. My wife hates him. I can speed him up and skip over ads and hear his whole show in 2.5 hours. It is also great for music. I bought a single earbud that is capable of playing the entire range of a stereo mp3 and it lets me listen and still participate in conversations. The Q2 does not make it hard to move mp3's back and forth with your PC like the ipod does.

This is a x'mas gift for my boyfriend,and he is 100% satisfied about this media player. The sound's quality is perfect with beautiful screen color and the price is wonderful and reasonable.

The Q2 is the best, it has fun games, cute videos, that come with it. the best part is you can some what personalize it, on the background, you can put any picture, plus you can get your music,and your videos, it is a great product!
