I have had this TV for about 3 months now. I am still amazed by the picture. There is zero blur and the clarity of the picture makes you fell like you are in the movie or at the game. Straight out of the box perfect picture. The remote is simple and basic the way they should be. Easy to use easy to understand. I also love the energy saving feature. Some people say the sound is not what it should be. I say if you buy a 60" plasma and do not hook it up to a surround sound then you should not be buying a 60" tv. Blue ray dvd's will blow you away. You will not be disappointed. Hand's down this beats all the others. Do not believe the LCD or 240hz myth. Plasma is the way to go. Do the right thing and get a LG.

I had this for 3 hours before the plasma screen died. When it was running it was beautiful. loved the internet connectvity. But repair depot came out twice and replaced different boards and realized the screen was bad. It was purchased through delta skymiles, so they replaced it with a different model. I know LG has quality products, so there is always a chance for a bad component. Also the shipping company may have dropped it. But i would not shy away from LG in the future.

Comments about LG 60" Black Plasma Flat Panel HDTV:
The TV was very easy to connect and to set up. The picture quality is sharp and bright. Setup procedures are easy to understand and use. I would recomend this TV to any one who is looking for a clear and bright unit. It is outstanding even in a brightly lighted room. I would certainly buy another LG TV for my next purchase.

yep, it's a 60
This is my first flat panel tv. I do keep up with technology, however I just couldn't see paying such high prices when these televisions hit the market, especially when my old one worked just fine. Let me first start out by saying, wow! This tv rocks. The quality, size, picture -everything - at an awesome price. The TV is pretty simple to use. I had it up and on the wall and watching tv within an hour. I would suggest breaking the tv in since it's a plasma for at least 200 hours. Make sure the brightness and contrast are 60 or below or you will get some 'shadowing' in those first few hundred hours, but it will disappear within a few days Also make sure the orbiter effect is turned on to help prevent burn ins from the tickers on espn, etc. Once broken in, the tv is great, and I've used it with no worries. Just use common sense when playing video games - I wouldn't suggest gaming on it all day, take a break every few hours and turn the tv on something with a constant moving picture. Otherwise this tv rocks for just about anything, especially sports. the HD picture compared to those of LCD are better. I would definitely suggest this tv to anyone who is looking for a bigger screen tv with an awesome picture at an affordable price.

We got this TV for Christmas so we have had it for a little over 3 months. The tv had a great picture right out of the box. It is our first HDTV so I was expecting to be impressed. Since we were replacing a rear-projection monstrousity that was over 10 years old, I had to update the entire room. This sleek system looks beautiful, sounds great, and is pretty easy to use (easy for me but the wife still has problems with the remote). Too bad is was discontinued by LG. We especially like the all glass look - losing the bezel was a good idea. Some people in other reviews complain about glare with the smooth glass but it has not been an issue for me (we have french doors opposite the TV). The plasma picture does not get drowned out by the afternoon sun. My only fear is that now that I gave it an overall 5 star rating something bad will happen (my typical luck).

What a picture. Was watching the winter olympics, looked like we were there. Olympics channel was in 1080i, eager to get a Blu-ray player to see what 1080p looks like. Easy to set up, although mounting it on the wall was a major operation. Beast is incredibly heavy. Menus are easy to use. But it would be nice if the signal strength was a bit easier to find.

Great TV but...BURN-IN IMAGES
from Lewisburg, WV
Awesome size and picture quality in HD, BluRay is magnificent but since day one I get burn-in images if I watch certain shows and channels. It goes away after about 20-30 minutes after turning the channel but I should be able to watch a basketball game or a 30 minute tv show without the ESPN logo and the NBC logo being a ghost image on my screen. Oh and guess what burn in images are not covered on the warranty!!!
