I cannot say LOVE enough to describe my new refrigerator. I read reviews where people complained about the lack of ice production and I was a little worried about this, but I have no problems at all with the ice maker keeping up. I love the large opening for tall glasses and even pitchers. And because of the water filter I find myself making glasses of water rather than buying bottles like before. The refrigerator is extremely spacious and very easy to organize and find things. The meat and vegetable trays are very spacious and do not lessen the spaciousness of the fridge at all. I've found that I keep more stuff in my freezer than ever before - utilizing it rather than the outdoor freezer. On several occassions my family has left the door open and we have found the alarm to be great! It took a couple of minutes to determine where the noise was coming from to begin with...but we could hear it on the other side of the house and find it very handy! I can't say enough good things about this new purchase and I can't imagine being without it now!

ok overall this refridgerator is a good product but there are things that should be addressed for the money spent one being the horrible icemaker this is the worst part of this product it does not hold enough ice for an average night with friends over and seems to jam up alot, the other problems are simple you cannot get water or ice out when the right door is open(prob an easy fix), hard to clean without leaving streaks, does not tell you actual inside temp.with a lower overall praice I would probably not complain but this was one of the highest priced products that i looked at.

Comments about LG LFX28977ST 27.6 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator:
Really happy with this product, little expensive just because you want a counter depth, but overall worth the money. We were worried about storage space but this fridge has plenty of room for our family of two. very easy to keep clean inside and outside. Ice maker works great and there is no need to buy water filters as this model does not have one which is a money saver in itself.

Best counter depth refrigerator we could find
from Midland, MI
We were limited in choice by the space vacated by the dying old refrigerator. We wanted a bottom freezer and french doors, without the potential headache that ice and water dispensers bring. This was it. It took some time adjusting the shelves just so as the door shelves do not but it works perfectly for our needs now. The door on the left with the lip often will not close properly unless you tuck the lip in especially when both doors are open but it is another friendly reminder at mindfulness which I find quite welcome.
This fridge is just simply huge. The only time we ever max this thing out is when the extended family comes out for vacation. My only complaints are the doors don't always close all the way if you open and close both doors at the same time, that the one door sags some, and the ice get's hung up when it get's old.
This refrigerator has so much space! It is great for a family. Young kids can get into the large drawer at the bottom for yogurt/snacks etc. Only minor complaints: the ice bin is small, so you have to dump ice into the ice bin in the freezer in high demand times; could use more tall storage for gallon jugs and tall bottles.

I purchased this refrigerator almost one year ago after careful research. I love it!! One problem is the water dispensor. Due to the location, it is very easy to have water pour on the floor. This is my first stainless steel refrigerator, and it's hard to keep clean. It is only my husband and I that use this product, for a family the ice machine would not be sufficient. I would still buy an LG product, I just wish they would make some minor adjustments.

POSITIVES: runs very quiet; freezer disassembles easily for cleaning; on-the-door ice maker design saves interior space. NEGATIVES: stainless steel shows fingerprints (needs a preventive coating); freezer door isn't linked to the open door alarm; cross bar beneath each shelf restricts storage space/access; displayed temperature does not match actual interior temperature. ANNOYING: must open both french doors to access deli drawer; crushed ice often comes in large chunks; filter change meter does not measure filter condition (remaining useful life). JOYFUL: interior lighting; large water/ice dispenser opening; unit is an energy saver. BEST OF ALL: unit works well and pleases my wife.
jsut so so
Overall I like this fridge, it is vey large and after coming out of a side-by-side I was in heaven! However, some of the space is lost because under the shelves there is a bar that prevents items that should fit from fitting without tilting them...this has proved to be quite annoying in trying to configure the shelving, especially since we keep alot of large pitchers and bottles in it. I have also read some complaints about the noise...it does seem to run alot, but isn't that loud. Opening the doors is very noisy though...they make very loud thunks.

Love the refrigerator, except for the poorly designed freezer door and seal. It is not possible to open and close the freezer door with it making a good seal, causing severe frosting problems. Had Tech look at it once - said it required resetting the door track with each use. Also note that icemaker does not have enough storage.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
BIG is BETTER

We love the size! The lighting is awesome. Just opening it up makes me happy. The ice and water are simple to use and I love how it is all in the door and not taking up as much room as other models we looked at. The only 2 problems I have are the light that says produce is not working on the right drawer and its not the model we ordered. The one we ordered has been discontinued and replaced apparently. I don't like the flippy 2 inch piece that is in the middle of the doors. . That was one of the big reasons we bought LG is because they didnt have that, but it did come with shelf space in the ice maker door, unlike the original we ordered.

We have had this unit for 3 months now and love it. We went with the 28cubic feet unit because have two kids and never enough room. The frig is great we have 4 gal milk and all kinds of vegetables. We have noticed it keeps food a lot longer than our old unit and the vegetable draws are fantastic. Our favorite features are the inside light, ice maker, door alarm, and large tray area.
