When you want to play more music in more rooms, just add ZonePlayers and Controllers to your heart’s content.

Convenient & cost-effective way to get started
In one convenient package you’ll have everything you need to play and control music in two rooms of your house. In addition to the Sonos Controller, complete with Charging Cradle, we included both of our ZonePlayers, one amplified and one not, so you can add music to rooms with and without existing audio equipment. And, as an added incentive, we’ve made the price of a bundle almost 17% less than the sum of the individual products.

Best-in-class wireless technology for multi-room music
Sonos brings great sounding music wirelessly to any room in your house, without a big wiring project. SonosNet 2.0, our latest wireless mesh network technology, provides double the wireless range for whole-house coverage, ensures synchronous music playback, and avoids sources of wireless interference. Which means the music gets to all the right rooms — near or far — at exactly the right time.

Instant access to endless music
Sonos liberates the music on your computer and the Internet so you can play it all, all over the house. With the touch of a finger you can find and play songs from your personal music library stored on your computer, plus thousands of free Internet radio stations. And Sonos works seamlessly with the most popular music services so you can stream millions of songs and stations from the Internet to the rooms of your choice. You can even connect ZonePlayers to your favorite audio source such as an iPod or CD player and listen throughout your house.

Simple setup and expansion
Setting up Sonos is incredibly easy. No technical or wiring expertise required. And no need to break through walls or re-wire your entire house. All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and a router to get started. One ZonePlayer or ZoneBridge in your system must be connected to the router and all the rest will work wirelessly. Add more ZonePlayers and Controllers without adding wires.

Control your music and rooms any way you want
Sonos gives you the freedom to control your system however you want — with the dedicated Sonos Controller, Sonos Controller for iPhone or Sonos Controller for Mac or PC. Use one Controller for the entire house or mix and match Controllers for the ultimate in flexibility.

New features and music services with automatic updates
Unlike most other consumer electronic products, the entire Sonos system keeps getting better even after you buy it. With free automatic software updates you’ll always have the newest features and music services to enjoy. Comments about Sonos Bundle 250 Music Player:

I use a Sonos ZoneBridge hardwired to my router to access the Internet. I power two sets of in-wall speakers (kitchen & small living room) with ONE (yes, one!) ZP120, I use a ZP90 with an old Apple iPod Hi-Fi in one bedroom, another ZP90 with a Bose Wave in second bedroom, & a third ZP90 with an old Sony shelf system in the third bedroom. I have two iTunes libraries, one on a NAS (here I keep >100 GB of Podcasts), and a second on my laptop, in which I keep my music and Audible audiobooks. I keep an iPod Touch synced with the laptop library, so that when the laptop is turned off, I can use the Touch docked in its Sonos dock as the source library for music and books. The Touch also functions as a controller by the downloaded (free) Sonos app. The Sonos controller software, whether on the laptop, Mac, iPod Touch, or the Sonos Controller 200, has no trouble pulling from the different libraries, each on their different physical sources. I play audiobooks and podcasts throughout the house so that I can move from room to room without missing a word. And every word is as clear as a bell! Then, when my husband wants to hear internet radio (usually BBC) in the bedroom, my daughter wants Pandora in hers, and I listen to my Audible books or Podcast in the kitchen, we each get exactly what we want without missing a beat! All with exceptional sound quality. BUT BEST OF ALL, when my overly complex network (24 port switch off a wireless router, off a Comcast modem) has a hard time negotiating thru multiple security layers to my Podcast library on the NAS, support walks me through the process of getting all the gadgets talking to one another again. When it's more than I can handle, their software can take over my pc to straighten out even the worst network glitches! And it's NEVER their equipment that's at fault, and yet they support me. THEY SUPPORT ME NO MATTER HOW LONG AGO I BOUGHT THEIR EQUIPMENT, AND NO MATTER WHETHER IT'S THEIR EQUIPMENT AT FAULT OR SOME OTHERS!!! I wish Microsoft and Apple would learn something about customer support from this company. The quality of their products is overshadowed by nothing, except possibly, their support team's excellent attitude and proficiency! Best products I've EVER bought, bar none.

Comments about Sonos Bundle 250 Music Player:

I researched the Sonos system for a long time. I compared it to other wireless music systems since wired systems were going to be impractical for our aged home.

I consider myself very tech savvy, so it does not mean much to say this system was easy to set up. Having said that, it really was truly easy to set up. Out of the box, you hook up the Zoneplayer (or Zonebridge, which is NOT included in the BU250 package) to your router with a standard cat5 cable. You install the software, which was very straight forward. The software tells you when to link the Zoneplayer to your network. It was recognized instantly. After a quick software update (which was prompted by the software), I told the Sonos system where to find my music. All my music is on a NAS, but it could have been on any computer, really. After I updated the controller software, which took about 2-3 minutes wirelessly, I was playing music in my kitchen. I placed another Zoneplayer in the garage, which was about 50 feet away. This zoneplayer picked up the wireless signal, and I was playing music in my back yard shortly thereafter.

Honestly, the hardest part about setting up this system was running the cat5 through the ceiling and wall so I could have my Zoneplayer in a more useful location. I also had to wire my garage and install speakers there, so that added time and a little sweat in the 90-degree weather. Of course, this has nothing to do with Sonos.

The BU250 comes with a controller, Zoneplayer 120 (ZP120), Zoneplayer 90 (ZP90), a 3.5 to RCA input cable, RCA to RCA cable, flat cat5 cable (10 feet?), power cables, manual, and software.

The ZP120 contains an amplifier, so you can hook it directly up to speakers. It has optical and RCA outputs as well as a subwoofer output. The unit has two speaker connectors, but you can hook up 4 speakers (as I did) if the resistance matches. There are two ethernet ports on the unit. The unit is solid, but not heavy.

The ZP90 does not contain an amplifier, so it needs to be connected directly to a receiver via the included (or add-on) RCA cable. The included cable works just fine. The ZP90 is also fairly solid, but I am less sure that it would survive a fall when compared to the ZP120.

The included ethernet cable probably works fine, but I threw it out since I was wiring my basement.

The controller is very intuitive and similar to an iPod. It fits nicely in my hand. The battery is rechargeable, and there is a docking station. The controller itself is very slick and does not disappoint. The controller has a touchscreen and my music collection is fully available through it, including artwork. I can access Pandora. I can access local and internet radio (listened to Radio Kerry in Ireland for a while). I can access all my Zoneplayers, link them, or pause them all.

The software was easy to install. It practically did everything other than suggest a location for the music.

I am very pleased with this system. I would definitely buy it again, and I probably will buy additional Zoneplayers when I consider other rooms that need music.

        Cons:
The price is a bit high for this type of system, and that was a drawback for me since similar systems are much less. However, Sonos truly was plug-n-play and worked like a charm. The forums on the website are full of people ready to help and offer advice. I guess you get what you pay for. But, I take off 0.5 stars in my unvalidated scale of worthiness.

        Other:
There is an app for the iPhone that works just like the controller; however, there is no similar app for Android capable phones. I consider that a drawback for us Google lovers. I hear there is one in the making.

Also, one final word of caution that I found out late in the research and I am glad I did find this out. THERE MUST BE A SONOS UNIT OF SOME SORT HARDWIRED TO THE ROUTER! This can be a Zoneplayer or a Zonebridge ($100, sold separately). This is why I was threading cat5 through the ceiling and walls so my Zoneplayer could be in a more optimal location. If you don't plan on wiring your home with extended cable, you should invest the $100 in the Zonebridge so that you can connect this unit to your router and setup the wireless network. This is found in the Sonos documentation, but it wasn't quite so clear to me when I was doing my initial investigation. Minus 0.25 stars on the worthiness scale.

A very minor issue is that by design these units work instantly when accessed by the controller or your desktop software. Therefore, you can't turn the Zoneplayers off. You have to unplug them. They are always on and when idle use up energy. Very little, but still using. That's not very environmental. There should be an option to turn off the units when not in use. I don't think you would upset many people at all by having this option. Minus 0.25 points.

Other than that, I have no gripes. (I do have to buy a network switch now since I had to disconnect my network printer so I could hook up my Sonos system, but maybe I'll now save paper...)

4/5 stars, because nothing really is ever perfect. I am sure that as time goes on, problems will reveal themselves. However, I am *really* happy with this system.

I was amazed on day 1. The new SONOS bundle was almost too easy to set up. In 5 minutes I had a player in place with my stereo. In 10 minutes I had loaded the software on my PC. 2 minutes to "link" the two and I had music! ALL my music files, Radio from everywhere in the world including local - it's been 30 days and we're still in awe!

Has lived up to expectations. As a family, we are listening to more music (and hopefully watching less TV). Wife and kids love the easy to use remote. Accesses music stored on a NAS, but the internet music services (pandora, napster, internet radio) really round out the offerings.
