We bought this washer in 2009 and this is my first review. You really need to use the product for a year or so before you REALLY know the product! Everytime I wash, large load and small loads, they smell sour. Yes, I clean the washer monthly but still have to wash my clothes at least 2 times before the smell clean. The washer only puts about 2 cups of water in the tub, at the most! Your clothes can not be clean if the are not in soapy water!!

I hated laundry. We moved to a new house and there was only room for a stack-able washer and dryer. So we had to go buy a new one. I wasn't too excited about this purchase, but I needed to clean clothes. We searched for a washer/dryer combo with good reviews and that was inexpensive. LG hit both categories. It wasn't until I got them into my house though that I discovered what an awesome buy I had made. The first thing that caught my attention was the cheery little ring that it made to greet you or tell you that laundry was done. This alone was far better than the dreaded blaring beep. But as I began to use the washer and dryer, I discovered so many great features that really allowed me to tailor what I needed to accomplish with my laundry. How dirty was it, how soon did I need it, did it need special care or extra spinning? There was an answer for every issue that might arise in laundry. I actually look forward to laundry now. What a difference in my life!

Before I went and bought it I read all reviews I could find, so I knew some of the washers "walked" when they spin, some were too noisy and some were too "smart" to do what the owner wanted them to do. Also I spoke with the friends who owned front loaders and knew what to look for. I chose this one at the store because of the price and looks. I fell in love with it when I did my laundry: not noisy and does the job! Over a month after we bought it we found out that our electric company can (and did) give us $100 credit and we can get a tax credit on it as well. Talk about value!

We purchased this washer a little less than a year ago. We Love it. Knock on wood, we have had no issues so far and it does a great job of cleaning. The price was the lowest of the front load washers but is defintely worth the additional cost over the top loads. We love it.

We did not know that LG existed until we read a review of washers and then, had to have one. We like the fact that it's direct drive, no belts, and it has performed beautifully. Everyone should check them out.

I've had this washer for over a year. It is so easy to use. I live in a 2 bedroom condo so it sits in my entryway and it is relatively quiet. I've never had a problem with the cleanliness of my clothes. I have hard water so I was worried about buildup, but the machine is very easy to clean. I did have to do some research about leaving the door open to dry out sufficiently in order to avoid mold. I would definitely buy this washer again. The matching dryer is great too!

This is an amazing washer that cleans my king and queen sized comforters and quilts thoroughly without tearing them up like my top load did. It is quiet and does not vibrate! So easy to use and in the room next to the laundry room I cannot hear it running. Love the chime to start and end the cycle. Who knew laundry could be fun?

I love my LG front load washer and dryer. Our clothes are cleaner than they have ever been and at a faster time! They are so easy to use, the capacity is great and I love the speed at which they dry! Washing clothes has never been more fun!! If you overload the washer with towels, it will leak some water. Less is best.
