I settled on this model after a fair amount of research and am quite happy with it; it is just what I expected it would be. It has an intuitive user interface, holds a reasonable amount of food, is very powerful, and heats evenly. My only recommendation would be a handle-opening door. The button-opening door works fine, but I'd prefer a handle. Alas, these seem to only be available with under-the-cabinet models, not the countertop ones.

Compared to the Panasonic I had for 13 years, I will be surprised if this unit lasts 5 years. It feels like junk. The door switch has to be pushed precisely in the center or the door won't open. When you push the door closed, the whole unit moves.I don't know if I would have noted these issues if I had actually seen the unit in the store as opposed to buying it on line, sight unseen.

Tryed Sharp, first one dyed after 4 years (Keypad), second one keypad failed after 3 years & replace keypad lasted two more years. I give up on Sharp's. Time to try GE, I have not heard of problems with other I know who have GE.

In an age when a lot of products don't live up to their billing, it's great to own one that does! This appliance is a breeze to operate and consistently delivers expected results, from reheating to defrosting to pinpoint accuracy sensor cooking. But then none of this comes as a surprise to me with GE microwaves; the last one I owned lasted 28 years, and I look forward to the next 28 with this one.
