Can I give NO STARS? This machine started off great! After two years it started making louder and louder noises during the spin cycle. The noise became louder and louder and now sounds like a jet is taking off in our laundry room during the spin cycle. I called Maytag right when this issue began. Maytag would not cover this repair or replace the product. I called several appliance repair persons and they all told me to just run the washer into the ground - that it would not pay off to repair it - the cost would be too great. Currently, the washer has began to not drain all the way and say "UL" each time. We are waiting for the thing to DIE! We basically live in an airport and are ready for take off each time we do laundry.

Comments about Maytag Bravos MVWB450WQ White Top Loading Washer:
We've had our washing machine since 2011, I assumed when I bought my first brand new washing machine that it would still be working 10 to 15 years later. Now, after 6 years it is in need repair. It is leaking oil and making a terribly loud noise. We will have to pay $300 plus to buy a plus 1 warranty, which will get it fixed and cover it for another year, but for that much we feel like we might as well get a new machine. It cleaned the clothes, and I liked the large capacity but the loads were often unbalanced and it would not be able to finish the cycle.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

this is my second Bravos washer. 1st one the bushing between the stainless drum and outer tub failed with 14 days. it was replaced and have had the second one for about 5 years now. It has worked great. the bearing are now failing so the spin cycle is very loud. has been a great machine

I am a "mature" woman and have had many washing machines over my adult life. This is the worst machine I have ever had. It stops the cleaning process every time. It takes me a day to complete one load. I only do very light loads (only a few articles) but it stops many times during the process regardless. I am required to go to laundromat for all heavy items, i.e. towels, jeans, etc.; this is absurd! My last machine, an Amana, was the best machine I ever had; a real workhorse. I will never ever buy a Maytag again.

Love the large tub!!!! It can wash my king comforter with the deep water cycle. I wanted a washer that had no computer board since my old washers all had one and they all gave me problems. This washer has so many options to cycles and water temps. Also love that I can stop to check mid-cycle to check on a load and lift the lid. Couldn't do that with any other washer before!!!!

Loud, unreliable and needed to run through multiple cycles to clean and rinse clothes
Door Lock Issue
The cost was $164.30 to replace the door lock on my Bravo(could not get the door open..was advised by tech to disconnect the power..etc ..this did not work). Very disappointed that this 'Maytag' product, who's brand were once advertised as a boring job for repairmen because nothing every broke down, was so expensive to fix with no other alternatives to operate the machine without this costly repairs. ...by the way my Maytag "Gemine" range had a burner to go out and the repairman for my washer stated it was very difficult and expensive to repair...not for a layman...
we have had this washer for only a few years and it is the loudest washing machine we ever had.the thing leaks grease inside and outhave to throw it away and buy a new one
