I use the product everyday and I am surprised with the small amount of dishwaser soap I use. The delivery should have been explained at time of purchase. The customer should understand installation is extra.

We have had this dishwasher for almost a month and have used it everyday. This is a great dishwasher, very quiet. We live in a loft and it is so quite that I can run it at night. I just wish it had a delay start option. Dishes, glasses, pots and pans come out clean.

We were looking for a quiet dishwasher. For the price and low decibel rating, we expected it to be quiter. We've had the machine for less than 3 weeks and one of the moveable arms keeps falling out. So I'm also disappointed that we have to contact Abt to get this repaired. Extremely awkward plate and glass racks. I'm sad to say that we miss our old dishwasher!

I have a unique problem in my kitchen: when it was remodeled 10 years aso, the remodelers made the space for the dishwasher 23-3/4" wide instead of the standard 24". This greatly limits my choice of dishwashers, and the American brands that fit seem to have dismal performance and longevity. My last dishwasher conked out twice in 7 years.
That led me to the Bosch. It fits. I have had this model for a month and have used it daily. I love it! It is truly quiet---such a treat. My dishes and glasses come out squeaky clean and even plastic ware comes out dry. I do use detergent tabs, although not the "manufacturer recommended" brand, so I would say if you are using powder or liquid and having problems, maybe consider changing to the tabs. Also I think using the rinse agent helps items in the drying cycle as well.
There is only one factor which kept me from giving this machine 5 stars: there is no "rinse and hold" feature. On several occasions, when I have emptied the clean dishwasher and pushed the "power" button to turn off the lighted display (which you must do manually on this machine---it does not go off automatically when you open the door), for some reason the machine sometimes starts to fill again with water and start a new cycle. If you stop it, water is going to sit in the bottom of the tub all day, so your only option to drain the water is to run the short cycle which is 30 minutes. This is way too long to have to run the machine just to drain the water out.

Machine IS very quiet! Quite an improvement over our old one.

It is taking some time to figure out how best to load our dishes but I think that would be true about any new dishwasher (after 15 years with a different style). Don't think this is a problem of the dishwasher.

The only thing I don't like (in fact I hate it) is the black metal strip at the bottom of the dishwasher. It ruins the sleek clean look of the white dishwasher. I am contemplating trying to paint it white (it bothers me that much).

After lots of research on the internet, talking with friends, and a visit to Abt, we settled on this model. I was afraid that the loading would be hard with the closer tines, but we quickly settled on where to put bowls, etc. The dishes came out very clean, they were very dry (just a little water in the recessed top of plastic cups) and this is OMG quiet!!! If you are not right next to the DW, you will not hear it - even in the connecting family room. I wasn't sure if I would like the slots in the silverware basket, but I do! My silverware came out much cleaner than my old Maytag (18 1/2 years!) Only con- top rack does not glide as well as my old DW and has too much side to side movement. If it cleans well, I can deal with this!

This dishwasher cleans well and is incredibly quiet, but having to constantly wipe off the top AND bottom of glasses, cups, etc. is ridiculous. In addition, the top sprayer might still have a few drips in it, even after you let the clean dishes sit overnight. This machine is going back and we are going to buy an American brand that doesn't use the eco-friendly convection drying.

This is an excellent dishwasher, far superior to the Kitchenaid it replaced. Cleaning performance is outstanding, and, despite not having a heating element, drying performance is on-par with my old unit with an element. It's also extremely quiet. Cycle times (typically around 110 minutes) are reasonable.
The tine spacing is slightly tighter than the Kitchenaid's, and the length of the lower wash rack is about an inch shorter. However, this doesn't translate to significantly reduced capacity, and deep plates clean just fine, despite being more a little more closely packed. The wash racks also come with a number of adjustable tine groups, so you can flip those up and down as required for various items. However, I do agree with other posters that the tine spacing makes loading slightly less flexible, and for that reason, I can't give the unit 5 stars. If they had a 4.5 star option, I would have selected that.
Also be sure to follow the manual and use the proper amount of detergent, and use rinse aid.
I would absolutely recommend this dishwasher to others.
