I would highly recommend this washer to anyone who is buying a front loader! I previously owned a frigidaire (smaller tub) front loader and noticed the first time washing white clothes in my new whirlpool they were whiter, brighter, cleaner!!! This washer is excellent. The only thing I do not like about it is the time it takes for washing white clothes (2 hours), but they come out cleaner, so....I can live with that.

We purchased this washing machine 14 months ago, of course it is just over the warranty. It just started shredding our clothing. It started with a pair of thing yoga pants and just put some small holes or runs in them. Then top band of a couple of socks were shredded in the next load. Thought small items were getting stuck, but couldn't see where. Now it has shredded a heavy sweatshirt from shoulder to wrist cuff, and took two inches off the bottom of another shirt, which we can't even find! Pictures will be posted showing damage elsewhere.

Worst Washer Ever
from Boston, MA
Comments about Whirlpool Duet WFW9250WW White Front Load Washer:
Machine is only a few years old. We did purchase an extended warranty and, of course, it has just expired. Recently, it has started beeping after putting a load of clothes in to wash. It gets stuck on the wash cycle and then we hear the beep and have to turn the machine off so it will drain and then we restart it. If we attempt to restart on "wash", it does the same thing. So we have to start it on "drain and rinse". So much for being HE. The door to the machine is always left open to avoid a mildew smell. A couple of weeks ago, we went to use the machine and found it filled with water and leaking all over the floor. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed. Don't know if anyone from Whirlpool ever reads these remarks, but it is the first and last product we will ever buy from Whirlpool, and that means ANY PRODUCT.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Good Washer For The Price
from York, PA, United States
We purchased this washer on Black Friday for a low price. It has several different settings so that you can customize it for whatever size load you are throwing in and whatever type of garments you have. Our clothes always come out clean and the tub always drains. There has been a few times lately that some of the clothes weren't fully rinsed out. We've had it for four years now. Our main issue is that the "Normal" cycle takes a long time, possibly 45 minutes. We generally only use that setting on towels and wash clothes since they're more gross than most clothing. We use "Gentle" on our clothes and that only takes half the time and it cleans our clothes fine. The door hasn't latched right for a while for whatever reason but it still closes with some extra encouragement.

Piece of garbage

Front seal is a breeding ground for mold and mildew. Replaced it less than 6 months ago and mildew is back. Now the machine is tearing holes in clothes and the manufacturer won't acknowledge their is a problem with this unit.Do your research before buying this and you'll be glad you did.
I love the" eco cycles" features, which lets you do laundry

I won this washing machine as a result of a Sales Contest at my job. However, I am so satisfied with the performance of the washer, I would buy another one on my own.
Nice and quiet!

Due to space, we are only able to buy a front-loading washer. Our old one literally sounded like an airplane landing by the time it got to the final spin, so we purchased this new one from a great local store. I love the quiet transition between cycles, options for load types and solid construction!

This is a very good product because it is efficient in terms of water usage and has not given us any problems since purchased this washer.
Do NOT Buy
from West Columbia, SC, United States
WE bought this duet set 3 years ago and it quit today! It was always too noisy to run on the extra high spin speed. About 6 months ago it started getting so loud that my neighbors could tell when I was washing clothes! And that was on any speed cycle, even delicate. I am really disappointed in this washing machine.
